Bandits Out Hit Rookies for 15-12 Victory
The Bandits outslugged the Rookies 18 hits to 13 hits to win a strange game that saw just about everything from routine pop ups and fly balls lost in the sky, to a hour long 2nd inning that resulted in only 4 runs scored, and a situation where a batter struck out and came back to bat after the next batter had already fouled off a pitch. The Bandits were led by Octavio Martinez going 3-4,4R,2B, Ray Smith 3-4,2R,3 RBIs,2B and Mark "SF HS is My Field" Gorman also 3-4,1R,2 RBIs,2 2B. Mike Guise, Mike Rojas and newly acquired Darren Hubert all had 2 hits each. Anthony DiPietro got the win by pitching a solid 2 2/3 innings allowing only 1 unearned run on 2 hits.
The Rookies were lead by Bill Cavin 2 hits,1 RBI, Sean Donnellan 3 Hits,2R,2 2B,5 RBIs and Rich Thorne 2 Hits,1R,2B,1 RBI. Keith Middleton and Micheal Ross also had 2 hits each.
