Clowns take first game of double header
Solid pitching effort by Mateo Valadez and Don Boomhower and timely hitting give the Clowns the W in the first of two at Grant High. Costello and Hugar with 2 rbi each, with Costello adding 2 hits, 2 runs and 3 stolen bases. Sposato and Kiser go combined 7 for 10, scoring 2 runs each. Good game by both teams. Mike Gin pitched all 9 for the short-handed Eagles, and deserved a much better fate than he got. 8 Eagles errors made it virtually impossible to win.
