Squires Win, Drake Shines Again
Tense pitcher's contest today at the zoo, but the Squires were able to tack on a few late runs to secure the victory. Squires P Scottie Drake was simply outstanding, again, racking up 10 Ks and scattering 3 runs on his way to the complete game win. Jon Oller cracked three hits and picked up 2 important RBI to lead the Squires offense. Monarchs pitcher Bruna also pitched 9 very strong innings, and on another day, probably would have a W for his efforts. Well played game by both sides.
