Mudcats hold on for the victory.
The Mucats took an early 4-0 lead in the 2nd on a Dave White SF, a Marcos Perez RBI double and a 2-run double by Carlos Ramos. The 'cats added another in the 3rd on a Patrick Monahan RBI single, and led 5-0 going into the bottom of the 7th as starter White was on his game (allowing only 1 hit through 6). With 2 outs, an infield hit was followed by an error and the Colt 45's had a threat going. Dave Noll got the 45's on the board with a 2-run single to tighten the game at 5-2. The Mudcats got 1 back in the 8th as Agatep singled in a run. Now with White out of the game, the 45's scored 1 in the 8th to make it 6-3. All this while 45's relief pitcher Eric Johnson was holding the Mudcats down. The Colts put on a furious 9th inning rally as Noll singled, Garza reached on a error, then a FC brought up Phil Leavitt. Leavitt hit a shot to the gap to make the game 6-5, but was caught in a rundown to make the second out of the inning. The next batter tapped out to end the inning and preserve the victory for the Mudcats. Mudcats starter Dave White had another good game, going 7 innings, picking up the win, and allowing no earned runs.
