Shorthanded J-rabbits comeback down 13 despite early turmoil We weren't sure the final game of the opening night would take place due to rain in the forecast, however Q-Cast never lets us down and confirmed the rain would hold off until 10:00 pm. Early in the game the Blue Devils used transition offense, 3 point shooting, and quickness to take the early 13-4 lead. This lead to a timeout that saw Josh Grundy and Blaze Cohen have an inner-team argument that the crowd loved and the Jackrabbits hated. With #3 pick Pat Reddington as a no show for opening night, the Jackrabbits continued to find player of the game Brandon Feinstein inside to keep what could have been a double digit lead to single digits. Victor Simmons provided a major spark off the Blue Devils bench providing 13 points late in the first half and early in the second half. The Blue Devils took a 13 point lead and looked to run away with the game behind James Rambo's physical 17 point 10 rebound performance. Looking down and out the Jackrabbits saw Dave Homsher get hot late hitting 3 consecutive 3 pointers to tie the game. From there the Jackrabbits took their first lead and never looked back, despite poor free throw shooting to win 61-54. The player of the game was Brandon Feinstein with 27 points, 16 rebounds, and 4 assists.
