Jackrabbits take advantage of late fatigue of Devils Due to the rain game 1 was played indoor at SMG and the Blue Devils took advantage early and often. The Devils lead at the half 30-17 with 8 made 3-pointers absolutely dominating the Jackrabbits in all facets of the game. The Devils took their largest lead at 32-17 to begin the second half as Brandon Mason seemed to get any look he wanted on the floor. However, the Devils had only 5 players whereas the Jackrabbits had all 9 and fatigue played a major factor in the middle of the second half. With players noticeably exhausted the Jackrabbits took advantage pushing the pace and collecting multiple offensive rebounds to finally take their first lead since 2-0 with 3:00 left in the game. Up 3 with 1:00 left Pat Reddington got a steal to make it a 5 point game, followed by player of the game Adam Haun getting another steal to close the game out. The offensive glass was dominated by Haun in his limited minutes, which was the ultimate game changer. The Blue Devils will look to continue their first half hot shooting in game 2 whereas the Jackrabbits hope to figure out their game plan on the blacktop in game 2 looking to sweep.
