Virginia escapes vs Wisconsin for another grinded win Wisconsin had their top pick Zach Sibel there who lead them to a 7-0 early lead in a very windy game that lead to nearly 90 combined rebounds. The 2-3 zone of Virginia helped try to contain Sibel as best as possible and the supporting cast of Wisconsin. Pokedoff had a big 18 rebounds but struggled to finish inside with the contests of the Virginia zone. Virginia fed Brandon Feinstein inside hitting tough shots in the first half but the constant double teams on each touch lead to him being unable to score a single point in the second half, as both teams had great strategies to stop each other. Another low scoring battle lead to a 44-44 tie when player of the game Frank Pratico stepped in and hit a huge game winning mid range jumper with 1 minute left, since no other point was scored. Virginia survives a tough week and Wisconsin is highly anticipating the arrival of their captain Matt McGinty who missed another game.
