Virginia thought they'd run away with the game in the second half but the opposite happened as Georgetown took the lead with around 6 minutes left. A few answers and extended possessions from Adam Haun who was dominant on the offensive glass lead to a Virginia 46-45 lead. The game winning 3 rimmed in and out and the game went to overtime. In overtime Georgetown outscored Virginia 10-0 and had all the momentum heading into game 3.
