Fein buzzer beater 3-pointer ends series in triple OT In a game where Georgetown was incredibly hype to have their full team there when it was rumored they wouldn't be able to field 5, they took it to Virginia early. Shev Comer hit 4 first half 3 pointers and Steve Olenski continued that in the second half hitting 3 straight 3 pointers to give Georgetown the lead. Georgetown was leading 53-49 when an offensive put back by Nick DeFeo made it 53-51, a missed FT and another offensive rebound spiraling tip in by Adam Haun tied the game. This game had all sorts of drama and questionable calls that followed games 1 and 2 for both teams. After the Haun tip in the Hoyas tried to hold for one. A false call of a walk as Shev Comer went up was established, but his shot got blocked by Kevin Quinn and landed in the hands of Virginia who called timeout with 2.2 seconds left. As it was being determined a false call, the lights went out. Captain Vince Mcilwain agreed about the same situation of the false call in game 2 and awarded Virginia the ball. Virginia will have 0 timeouts left in OT and possession to inbound from side with 2.2 seconds left. Virginia also owns the possession arrow. Game 3 resumption will be played at 7:30 Wednesday prior to the other 2 game 3's. If it goes into overtime, the 7:30 will be pushed back until Georgetown/Virginia finishes. This time was agreed on by both captains as the game finished. The 2.2 seconds resumed and ended quickly as a beautiful play was drawn up by Matt McGinty that lead to long time teammates Nick DeFeo connecting with Brandon Feinstein for a corner 3 pointer. DMVP Shev Comer tried to go for the steal, tipped the ball, which lead to a dribble and corner 3 at the buzzer that sank and advanced Virginia to the semi-finals and sent Georgetown home after an extremely hard fought series that could've gone either way in all 3 games.
