Sharks win 3rd straight with a win at Menendez
For the second straight game the Sharks got a huge boost from their bench as the Sharks won their third straight victory on the season, all on the road, with a 47-32 victory over Menendez. Senior Will Irwin came off the bench midway through the opening quarter and quickly made his presence felt by scoring 11 of his career-high 13 points in the first half. The diminutive Irwin also chipped in with 6 rebounds as many of the Sharks were stone cold from the field. However, the defense certainly didn’t take the night off as the visiting Sharks completely shut down Menendez by allowing the host Falcons but 7 combined points in the middle two quarters. Sophomore Nate Bunkosky added 11 of his game high 15 points to lead all scorers. Rory Mayer had a game leading 8 rebounds for the Sharks who will return home Friday night as they welcome Bartram Trail in the first home game of the season.
