Sharks roll past Menendez for win No. 18 The Sharks let Melendez hang around for a while, but a 20-4 run to start the second half was the difference maker as the Sharks notched their 18th victory on the season with a convincing 71-52 victory. All five Shark starters joined in the fun as they all entered the scoring column inside the first 4 minutes of the third period. Luke Perris had a game high 22 points, including making all 4 Shark 3 pointers in 5 attempts. Rory Mayer again had another stellar performance as he contributed a career high 17 points. Nathan Bunkosky was in double figures with 12 points, most of his tallies coming on well executed driving layups. Alex Madson had 6 points while passing up on a number of good looks to feed his teammates for some easy baskets. Jack Polian rounded out the Shark starters with his usual steady game and aggressive defense as all five Shark starters performed well. Ponte Vedra had as much as a 28 point lead early into the final quarter before coach Kevin Whirity turned the game over to many of his subs. The Sharks return to action Friday where they will begin the first of their three games to complete the regular season against very good opponents with a road trip to Bishop Kenny.
