Bulldogs Best Warriors
Opening night of the season, did not turn out as planned for new Coach Dan Day and the Warriors. As the Bulldogs amassed 260 yards on the ground and 217 thru the air, in route to a 51-26 victory. The Warriors did have their bright spots. Brandon Simioniette tipped the pass in the endzone, then secured the pick for an official 100 yard Touchdown, Tyler Schafer ran for 83 yards on 14 carries, also providing 45 yard Kickoff return. Josh Welch (42 yd, Int return), Aaron Edgell and Brayden Gerber also had interceptions for the Warrior defense. Sophomore QB Kurt Taylor came in and played well going 12/16/148 yds/3 TDs, (9yds to Josh Welch, 21 yds to Clay Miller, 28 yds to Evan Gandee, the leading receiver with 5 catches, 63 yds and a TD). Thomas Miller led the Warrior defense with 15 tackles, while Josh Welch chipped in with 11.
The Warriors open their home schedule when the Marietta Tigers come to town for a 7:30 Match up.
