Cavs Win Piedmont Opener!!!
Friday night at South Carroll the Cavs used a hard hitting defense along with great special teams to set up 12 1st quarter points to help get the Cavs rolling to their second win of the season and their first Piedmont Confrence win as well! The special teams were lead by kicker Derek Ritgert who consistently put the Falcons in bad field position all night. Punter Josh Buswell also was effective in pinning the Falcons deep in their own territory. The Cavs were lead on defense by Mike Matthews with 10 tackles and 1 interception. Jesse Meetre had 2 interceptions and 6 tackles in the game as well. Roger Yohn dominated the Falcon offensive line with consistent pressure in the back field all night. The Cavs received rusing touchdowns from David Ringold, Roger Yohn, and Justin Frazier. The Cavs improve to 2-2 on the season and next play at Frederick on Thursday October 5 starting at 7:00 p.m.!!
