Cav Lose On the Road at Frederick
Friday night the Cavaliers lost their first Piedmont League game at Frederick 29-7. The Cavs turned the ball over three times inside their own 30 three times resulting in a 19-0 lead for Frederick at the end of the first quarter. The Cavs would cut the lead to 19-7 heading into halftime behind a 20 yard touchdown from David Ringold to Jesse Meetre. David Ringold finished 15 for 30 on the night for 145 yards and a touchdown. Jesse Meetre lead the team in receiving with 7 catches for 81 yards and Matt Greene added 51 yards on the ground rushing. The Cavs defense would play well the whole second half shutting the down the Cadets offense not allowing an offensive score. Trevor Terpening lead the defense with 13 tackles and Tyler Kennedy chipped in 11 tackles. Phil Curley also contributed 5 tackles 1 sack and 1 fumble recovery for the Cavs. The Cavs fall to 2-3 on the season and next host North Carroll on Friday October 13th for homecoming!
