Une victoire pour terminer la saison régulière

A win to finish the regular season

La traduction est en cours.
The midget team finished the regular season with a 33-6 win over Laval-Nord giving them an 8-2 record, a third place in the Wilbert Scott division and the top seed for the Jack Simpson Cup playoffs.

Despite a very muddy field and constant, cold rain the while team persevered and was able to dominate the game.

Chris McCarthy scored the first two touchdowns on punt returns of 70 and 40 yards. Maxim Bourgon scored on a QB sneak and Justin McLean then increased the lead with a 41-yard catch-and-run TD for a 26-0 half-time lead.

The highlight of this game, however, was a 96-yard TD run by Gabriel Cyr, the first of his football career. Not only was the touchdown a great effort but so was the help that Justin McLean provided as he raced downfield and blocked a Vikings defender who appeared ready to tackle Cyr before the goal line.

On defense, Sam Hansen made another interception while Adam David blocked a convert kick. He and Scott Betz led the team in tackles having made four and five tackles respectively.

Sam Hansen was chosen by the coaches as the player of the game.
