Dawgs Compete, But Effort Falls Short in Shutout Loss

The Bulldogs give it their all against perennial champs Quince Orchard, but could not take advantage of the Cougars mistakes. The Dawgs gained over 200 yards on offense, but the QO defense kept Churchill out of the end zone despite 17 penalties for the QO team as a whole. QB Vasi Hallas kept the ball in the air for much of the game, throwing 39 times, and completing 17 for 131 yards, but yielding 3 interceptions. A highlight for the Dawgs special teams was junior running back Noah Zhang gaining 20 yards on a punt fake in the third quarter.
