PEE WEE SHAMROCKS BATTLE ROSEDALE TO 6-6 TIE
The 2007 BCAC Pee Wee Shamrocks opened their season at home vs Rosedale this past Saturday night.

Team captains Charlie Bostwick, Mario Cimino, Jordan Jessup, CJ Galimi, and Richie Wood represented the Shamrocks for the coin toss. Rosedale won the toss and elected to receive.

The Defense opened the game led by DE’s Jordan Jessup, Richard Wood, DL’s Steven Kenny, Liam Malsy, Patrick Minihane, Dominic Savino, Cameron Manzi, Matt Ostrander, Dionte Scott, LB’s Robert Kollmer, Michael Torres, Anthony Cimino, Safety’s Luke Hanning and Theo Stathis. Rosedale opened strong with some sweeps moving the ball to the Shamrock 30. The Shamrocks regrouped and began to penetrate the line of scrimmage. On 1st and 10 Steven Kenny stopped a sweep for a 3 yard loss, Jordan Jessup followed with 2 stops for another 3 yard loss forcing a 4th and 16. Rosedale attempted a sweep and the whole defense swarmed to stop the drive forcing a turnover on downs.

The Shamrock Offense took the field led by the OL of Anthony Russo, Kyle Hilgendorf, CJ Galimi, Keith Servello, Charlie Bostwick, Robert Martin, Tyler Runolfsson, Michael Krzyzanowski, QB Mario Cimino, TE/WR Christian Paulich, Robert Kollmer, RB’s Jordan Jessup, Danny Hoff and Theo Stathis. On 1st and 10 Danny Hoff opened with a 10 yard sweep, 2 off side penalties moved the ball back to the original line of scrimmage; an incomplete pass made it 2nd and 10. Jordan Jessup (15 yard sweep) and Danny Hoff (25 Yard reverse) moved the ball to the 38, Danny Hoff ran a QB keeper led by excellent blocks by his OL and backfield of Charlie Bostwick, Kyle Hilgendorf, Michael Krzyzanowski, Robert Martin, Tyler Runolfsson, Anthony Russo, Keith Servello, Christian Paulich and CJ Galimi for a 38 yard TD for a 6-0 Shamrock lead.

Rosedale opened their next possession running outside twice for 15 yards, the defense made two stops by Jordan Jessup, Liam Malsy, Patrick Minihane, Cameron Manzi and Richard Wood forcing a 3rd and 11. Rosedale ran outside and the defense was in position but the RB made a nice cut back to midfield and scored on a 39 yard TD.


The 3rd Quarter opened with the Shamrock Offense ready to roll, Jordan Jessup (9 Yds) and Danny Hoff (32) followed their strong OL but Offside Penalties moved the ball back 15 yards and a fumble recovered by Rosedale ended the drive.

The Defense was called early to provide another stop, after 2 sweeps for 20 yards; Mario Cimino stripped a Rosedale RB and recovered the fumble bringing the Shamrock Offense back onto the field. Jordan Jessup ran outside for 15 yards and Rosedale was hit with a 15 yard late hit penalty. Danny Hoff took a pitch for 13 yards but the drive was stalled on the next play by a fumble recovered by Rosedale.

Rosedale’s offense took the field with 3:30 left in the game, the Shamrock Defense rallied, led by tackles by Luke Hannning, Anthony Cimino, Robert Kollmer, Dominic Savino Michael Torres forcing a fumble recovered by the Shamrock Defense, bringing the Shamrock Offense back onto the field with 1:30 remaining. Two passes just missed and an offside penalty forced a 4th and long from the Rosedale 49 yard line, a QB keeper brought the ball 1 yard shy of a 1st down. Rosedale took over with 2 seconds remaining and the Shamrock Defense called in Matt Ostrander, Dionte Scott, Keith Servello, Kyle Hilgendorf and Charlie Bostwick to help stuff the middle and swarmed a Rosedale sweep to end the game in a 6-6 tie.

Head Coaches Mike Malsy, Pete Ward, Assistant Coaches Frank Malone, Guy Bove, Cos Cimino and Darren Kollmer are extremely proud of their team.
