BCAC PEE WEE SHAMROCKS RALLY VS GLEN COVE
The BCAC Pee Wee Shamrocks hosted the Glen Cove Cardinals this past Saturday night. Shamrock captains Anthony Cimino, Michael Torres, Matt Ostrander, Theo Stathis and Keith Servello called “heads” and won the coin toss and elected to receive. The Offense stormed onto the field led by their big Offensive Line of Anthony Russo, Kyle Hilgendorf, Keith Servello, Charlie Bostwick, CJ Galimi, Tyler Runolfsson, QB Mario Cimino, RB’s Jordan Jessup, Danny Hoff and Robert Kollmer, TE Christian Paulich, Robert Martin and WR Theo Stathis. Danny Hoff opened up the game with a sweep to the outside for 30 yards; Kollmer went up the middle for 5 yards. On 2nd and 5 Jessup went off tackle and followed his blockers for a 26 Yd TD run and a 6-0 Shamrock lead. The XP was no good.

The Defense took the field led by DE’s Jordan Jessup, Richie Wood, DL Matt Ostrander, Liam Malsy, Michael Torres, Cameron Manzi, Mario Cimino, Patrick Minihane, Dionte Scott, Charlie Bostwick, LB’s Anthony Cimino, Robert Kollmer, Steven Kenny and Safety’s Dominic Savino and Theo Stathis. The Cardinal Offense was strong early and despite some good plays and positioning scored on a sweep, the XP was good to take a 7-6 lead. The Shamrock Offense started to move the ball on their 2nd possession but the drive ended on an interception by the Cardinal Defense forcing the Defense to come up with a stop. The Cardinals ran a sweep for 40 yards but Richie Wood made a TD saving tackle, the Defense needed a stop and their strong DL led by Cimino and Jessup forced a turnover on downs.

The 3rd quarter opened with the coaches challenging the Shamrock defense to come up with a stop and they responded forcing the Cardinal Offense to go 3 and out and Punt. On the Shamrocks 1st possession of the 2nd half Danny Hoff followed his Shamrock blockers for a 40 Yd TD, Jessup completed a pass to Theo Stathis for the XP and a 13-6 lead. The Cardinal Offense tried to answer but the Shamrock D forced a fumble and Jessup recovered, giving the Shamrock Offense an opportunity to score but a bad exchange forced a Shamrock fumble and the Cardinals recovered. The Cardinal Offense tried to score quickly by throwing a flat pass but the DL rushed the QB and MLB Robert Kollmer made a great play intercepting the pass and handing the ball back to the Offense. Jordan Jessup rolled right and hit Hoff with a pass for a 40 Yd gain to the 3 yard line but the Offense fumbled on the next play and the Cardinals recovered. The Shamrock defense was challenged again and quickly stuffed a few runs and stripped the ball carrier recovered by the Shamrocks. On the next play Mario Cimino ran a QB keeper for his 1st TD of the season, the XP was no good, for a Shamrock 19-7 lead. The Cardinals would not go away and started to move the ball when the Defense regrouped to force 3 stops and a fumble which was recovered by Charlie Bostwick.
