ALEXANDRIA BAY — Paul Fine-Lease and Seth Atwood each tallied, while Kyle Side recorded an 18-save shutout, in No. 9 Plattsburgh High’s 2-0 win over Norwood-Norfolk in non-conference boys hockey Tuesday. The Hornets will take on St. Lawrence, a 5-1 winner over Thousand Islands/ Alexandria Bay, in the Thousand Islands/Alexandria Bay Tournament championship today. After a scoreless first period, Fine-Lease and Atwood each found the back of the net in the second. “It was a good game,” Plattsburgh coach Jamie Reidy said. “We were really flat in first after the three-hour drive. No energy at all. “In the second period, we were a completely different team. Came out with a lot of energy. Played a good, solid third as well. “Happy to rebound after the NCCS game, which I thought we made a lot of mental mistakes in that game. “St. Lawrence is definitely one of the top teams in the state. They beat Alexandria Bay in the opener, and they just knocked off Massena.” — Plattsburgh High 2, Norwood-Norfolk 0 Norwood-Norfolk 0 0 0 — 0 PlattsburghHigh 0 2 0 — 2 Second period- 1, PHS, Fine-Lease (Atwood, Halloran), 8:05. 2, PHS, Atwood (Fine-Lease, Champagne) 13:06.
