ALEXANDRIA BAY — Rico DiMatteo, a sophomore goaltender, registered a 30-save shutout in St. Lawrence’s 3-0 victory over Plattsburgh High in nonconference boys hockey Wednesday. The Hornets finished runner-up in the Thousand Islands/Alexandria Bay Tournament, and Ben Champagne and Paul Fine-Lease were named to the all-tournament team. “I am really proud of the effort,” Plattsburgh coach Jamie Reidy said. “We played one of the better teams in the state, (which) has one of the best goaltenders in the state. We ran into a red-hot goalie, and we just couldn’t buy a goal. “I’m really happy with our effort in this tournament. We played two really big, physical teams.
