Bayonne, NJ May 2, 2011 7:55:40 AM Entry ID: 1883751 | My 12 year old grandson has played for Cal Ripken. Now my 5 yr old grandson, Paul Kuzminski, joined the instructional team Dr. Condo's Mets. I was so happy to see who well they teach these little guys. They explained to everyone how they do it and the main focus is not just instructional but to be sure the kids have fun. At that age of 4, 5 and 6 "Fun" is very important. They did a great job. There were plenty of adults on the field directing the little ones. Thank you Bayonne Cal Ripken!! |

I just wanted to express my gratitude to one of my son's coaches. Ray Ortiz has taken so much time with not only my son but with all the boys on his teams. Even though his son plays and is an awesome player he isn't just there for him. He loves what he's doing which makes it so much more easier for the kids to learn. He would take each child individually at practice and work with them on whatever they needed help with the most. During the spring season I think he spent more time with my son than I did. I can literally say everything my son has learned and accomplished so far in baseball today would not have been possible at all without Ray. He would run a tough practice but at the end treat the kids with ice cream, ices and even water balloon fights. Just as I was about to lose all hope because of our not so great 1st year in Bambino, Ray came in and restored my faith. Ray is a dedicated, talented, honest, fair, and caring individual and Cal Ripken is very lucky to have him on their coaching staff. I know my son would love to continue his baseball journey with Ray by his side. Thank you Ray for your continued dedication to these boys!! |
