One cannot do it alone, and I just wanted to take a moment to thank Ray Bryant and Mike Martinez, who took a load off my shoulders. Since, 2006, we have fielded many talented teams, but none with the swag of the 2015 Titans. I sincerely want to thank each player for this year's accomplishment. In 2016, the Titans celebrate 10 years, so let's do it in style, and win again! PS. Please share your thoughts, they are so uplifting and inspirational. |

Chandler, AZ October 30, 2015 1:33:25 PM Entry ID: 2069209 | After coming close last year (2014) in the NABA 50+ tournament (1 out, top of the 9th, down 1 run, tying run on 3B, go ahead run on 2B, line drive to third baseman - who hadn't made a play ALL DAY - but he stuck his glove up in self defense mode - caught it and stepped on third to end the game)...THIS year's Titans team was NOT to be denied. We RAN THE TABLE going 7-0 to take TOP HONORS. This was my first ring in 6+ years of tournament playing. Since I live in AZ I play every week on a variety of teams each October. The ONLY team I've come close on is the SO CAL TITANS. This one is 100% due to the leadership of Dan Gutierrez, and the way Dan gets everyone to pull together in the same direction. There are no prima donnas on this team. Everyone is giving it everything they have and NO ONE is getting upset when someone makes an error. And EVERYONE on this team can absolutely HIT THE BASEBALL - and hit it WELL. As a pitcher it is a JOY to pitch with all of this offensive power behind us. Let's get ANOTHER ring in 2016! |

I am a former cheerleader and songleader at Cerritos College and use to be involved in sports being raised with 4 brothers I had to play with them. I loved sports baseball, football, basketball and was a great server at Volleyball. I was injured in 1992 and have not really been able to participate but would love to watch the team if possible. This coming after only 1 year since re-organizing speaks highly of all the Titans family. Everyone on the Titans squads have shown great character and determination to become a great team. It is such a wonderful feeling to know you have teammates that give it their all to pick you up (on or off the field) that's what it's all about. Congratulations to everyone and let's keep building on our success to continue making an organization and association we all are proud to be a part of. Go TITANS!! |

Yea, the weather has finally warmed up, and we are playing in our NABA league here, but SIN CITY, here I come! Hopefully after this tournament, I can shed the ROOK tag that's been on my back since Arizona...LAST YEAR! So what is it going to be this time? Carry bags? Beer run? Chauffer? Looking forward to the comraderie and some more TITAN'S baseball!! (WILL be flying since ROOK-2, my lead sled dog came up lame mushing me to practice last month!) Will be there 9am Friday the 25th!! |

That's right-after carrying bags, making beer runs, getting a LOT of ribbing from new teammates, washing jerseys, and making some MUY BUENO posole', how could I NOT miss the Vegas Memorial Day tournament with my new TITANS hermanos?? Dan, my deposit is IN, and am looking at hotels as well. I can't wait to get together for some inspired baseball, comraderie, and a Titan's good time. (I DO lose the "rookie" tag after this one, right??) And by the way fellas... my game sunday the 15th was SNOWED OUT!! Have toboggan will travel! |

I had a great time, had some great california-indspired food, the teammates were awesome, and played some inspired baseball. Sure I had to make a beer run, carry bags, and take some ribbing as rookies do, but it was all in fun, and I wouldn't trade my Phoenix experience for the world. Dan, thanks for allowing me to play, and for inviting me to play in more tournaments. I'm looking forward to playing more TITANS baseball! (Will I have to cook in Vegas??) AC |
