Rules Clarification Question September 30, 2009 9:53:54 PM Entry ID: 1706840 | Can you clarify the Cal Ripken rule regarding allowing kids to switch organizations and play for different tournament teams? For example, if a kid lives in the part of Upper Providence that has common Cal Ripken boundaries with 4 different organizations (SF, Audubon, Kimberton and Phoenixville) can he switch organizations at any time and play for another organization’s travel team? An example would be a kid who lives in this area and plays for Phoenixville on their tournament team, can he switch to Spring Ford and play on their tournament team because he also lives within the SF boundaries? It would be nice if the Cal Ripken organization would clarify this in writing and then enforce it. This is only going to get worse if UPLL is permitted to join Cal Ripken. |

Audubon Audubon , PA July 29, 2009 7:02:16 PM Entry ID: 1668411 | Audubon 11s won their 3rd straight NW State title last night in intense 12-11 victory versus Springford. It was amazing to watch 2 very talented teams battle each other. |
E. Brandywine Hater Local Cal Ripken Teams July 23, 2009 7:55:36 PM Entry ID: 1665496 | Shame on the lame program called East Brandywine. They won the State Tournament (12u PA NW), and informed Cal Ripken that they would be going to Cooperstown instead of competing in tne MAR Tournament. The program should be fined, and the coaches should be embarrassed. Lame program. |

One for the 10's, one for the 11's, and one for the 12's. No doubt one of the strongest Ripken programs in all the East. |

Springfield, PA July 21, 2007 3:49:23 PM Entry ID: 1166923 | Hello all Baseballs players, fans, parents and most especially the staff at Westgate Hills. I have had the pleasure of being the scorekeeper for Springfield's Tournament team for the last 4 years (now U12). It has been wonderful to be a part of such great local baseball. We would be remiss if we did not thank you the staff and their families for all the time you gave of yourselves so that our boys and their families could enjoy such outstanding baseball. Of course, I left a little sad that we just just shy of State Champs, HOWEVER, I am hanging on one of the best quotes I heard this year, "Don't be sad because it is over, be glad because it happened." I am soooo glad we got to play close to home in the States and am thankful for the support we received from all the other locals who believed in us. Any time you want to bring your game, call us. Sincerely and with gratitude, Kathy Sheeran and the whole U12 Springfield Baseball Team. Westgate Staff rocks. (Dean, Rich, Mike, Dave,Rick and all the snackbar folks, groundcrew helpers, waterslide helpers (my favorite event - haha) This will be one of my fondest memories. |

Hawley, PA July 8, 2007 12:09:19 PM Entry ID: 1157985 | It would be nice if the Cal Ripken side of the state would put the map of the new state boundaries for districts and states on this site so that the media could access and determine where their particular area plays in state competition (NW, SE???) It would be nice to know which of the Philadelphia based leagues are in the SE and which are in the NW. THANKS!!! |
