North Quincy March 17, 2014 8:18:06 PM Entry ID: 2049777 | I Witnessed the most epic game of the year with underdog North Quincy 6th grade boys pulling off an upset win for the 6th grade boys championship Against the undefeated Marshfield boys. As a wise man once said never underestimate your opponent . Congratulations Sacred Heart |

parent Quincy December 6, 2013 10:37:21 PM Entry ID: 2045977 | As a parent I was disgusted by the behavior/haggling that happened tonight at the Duxbury VS Quincy (7th grade boys) game! To sit and watch 20-25 kids from Duxbury chant obnoxiously, stomp their feet or putting their hands in the air and wiggling their fingers as the Quincy team shoots a free throw! This group of young boys continued their behavior by walking in a straight line, on the side lines as the boys were still playing the end of their game(Duxbury winning) chanting, loud, "HEY,HEY GOOD-BYE" and yet nothing was done by the refs, coaches of the Duxbury team or the score keepers! In fact, they were laughing! We are there to play basketball not deal with such ignorant behavior! I understand that it is a competition but there has to be something said about this behavior! Shame on the league for allowing it to continue from the beginning to the end of the game! |

Stoughton March 23, 2009 10:51:51 PM Entry ID: 1590282 | To all the players, coaches, officials and Town reps: Great season this year by all. Sunday's games were great but what I really liked seeing is the sportsmanship being displayed by the players toward one another. It's a great lesson being taught and learned and it will be good to have this behavior already in place for the kids high school careers. I truly believe we run one of the best youth basketball leagues in the South Shore if not the state and it's because of everyone's collective efforts we are as successful as we are. Special thanks to Mike Dunn for his year in and year out leadership. Another shout out to Darryl Valovcin for his usual great job of keeping us organized with this awesome web site. Darryl, you are the best! Will see you all down the road! EB 3/23/09 |
