| Neil Ward Bayonne August 7, 2007 9:20:11 AM Entry ID: 1177827 | Bobby D ~ I spent many years on the outside watching you, Mike and the rest of the founding fathers nurture the Bayonne Cal Ripken Jr./Babe Ruth League into a preeminent youth baseball program. Vision and leadership mean absolutely nothing without a committed support system. I applaud the efforts of our 13 year old superstars and the volunteers who made the tournament success possible. Thanks to George Peddie, a coach on my 8 year old LL team, I have witnessed the dedication of the Bayonne community that would make Cal Ripken proud. The Volunteers that support youth baseball in Bayonne have my appreciation, support and most of all, gratitude. Please, always take a moment to thank those who made it possible for all of us to "Play Ball!". Remember the debt that we owe to those heroes who allowed us to follow our dreams. We owe it to them to return the favor to the next generation. |

I've been to several state tournaments over the years, and this tournament was done the right way. The staff, umpires, announcers, music, facility, etc. made this a special event for all of the players, coaches and parents. Congratulations to Branchburg and good luck in the Regionals! |

Its very unfortunate that Bayonne got screwed in their final game with that no show from Bergenfield, it should not have to come down to this.This pool play is ridiculous at the state level of this tourny as it should not come down to who had the lucky draw of teams to play , or a no show from a team on their last game etc. Babe Ruth needs to take a hard look at the state tourny structure and re vamp to eliminate future problems. You showed alot about yourself after getting eliminated in the districts , to come back and win in a tough edison tournament which is only the second title in Edison in our league history. To Justin Guthrie one of my favorite ball players in Cal Ripken you deserved to be on the hill in the biggest game of the tournament season and to throw a gem like you did. To the coaching staff, great job in only your first season ever!!! |

You started with the exciting win over Union City to win the district title then did a very good job in the Edison tournament and finally and outstanding effort in the states winning a remarkable 3 games and going to the semi- finals b4 coming up a little short. You made us all proud and we all look forward to seeing u go up against the best in the regionals that we will be hosting at the Yard at Foot Locker stadium next week. Great job TEAM!!!! |

Bayonne July 24, 2007 4:09:30 PM Entry ID: 1169021 | I would like to give a big shout out and congrats to the 10 year old all stars and its staff for the wonderful job they did in the state tournament held in Hazlet NJ. I was able to see quite a few of your games and was really impressed and very proud of your hard work and accomplishments. Winning 3 games in the state tournament marks another milestone in our 10 year history as no team previously had won more then two games in the states. To watch your last game and see how close you came ( inches of making that catch) to going to the championship game was something very special and something you will remember for the rest of your lives. Manalapan was a very good team as well and so you can hold your head up high knowing you did all you could do and you tried your very best. For the record I would also like to state how I was appalled with the Manalapan coaching staff ( not their kids ) for allowing their 10 year old pitcher who was one of the smallest kids on the team, to throw curveball after curveball for the entire last three innings that he was on the mound. I have coached for a long time ( 31 years ) and have never seen a kid on any level throw that many curveballs ( 98% of his pitches were curves )never mind THAT the KID IS ONLY 10 YEARS OLD. The coaches should be ashamed of themselves. Bayonne you made us proud !!!!!!! |

I can't even put into words how much fun I am having coaching and being a part of this. To all of our boys, you guys have no idea how proud the coaches (as well as your parents) are of you. Let's continue to work hard and stay focused. The sky's the limit for us if we continue to play and show each team how we play some "Freakin' Bayonne Cal Ripken Baseball!!" To my fellow coaches, I've made some new friends and I want to thank you for allowing me to be a part of this. Let's continue to ride this train we are on and hope that it doesn't stop at a station anytime soon. |

What was some of the most exciting prep lg baseball that we have seen in years, the Hudacko's TEAM deserves a big round of applause for a job well done. Congrats also to Alex Rodriguez ( for his third title in 4 years )and his coaching staff for a job well done. Three new teams at awards dinner should be alot of fun. See ya on Nov 9th. |

I want to take a minute to thank all of the coaches; Keith, Gene, Sam, my wonderful husband Vinny, and the "heroic" managerial job of Mr. Greg Bleich (WINK). All the time and effort put into these boys paid off by an undefeated season they will remember for the rest of their lives, as a "TEAM". So, this was a total team effort and remember, there is no "I" in team. CONGRATS! ONCE AGAIN! I would also like to personally thank: Mr. & Mrs. Salgado (Nikko's parents) for the AWESOME plaques given to each player. And, Mr. & Mrs. Necklan AKA Coach Keith and (Kyle's parents) for the "Fired Up" t-shirts for all players and fathers..........
