Both players and coaches did a fantastic job and I agree with some of the parents remarks, it was a total TEAM effort. From what I saw throughout the season, there was not a player on your team that did not improve from last season, thus the makings of a champion. We will measure for jackets sometime in September and look forward to seeing some new faces at the awards dinner on November 9th. |

For a team that was predicted to lose more then they won and to be in the hunt for top 3 in the playoff bracket is a true testiment to the boys on the team and their coach, who love him or hate him (I love him) he loves the game, he loves to coach and he gets his team to play at a level that brings results. If everyone would just take a moment to read this...you may understand what the whole idea behind "The Yard" is. (Pay close attention to the last sentence..) it seems as if this child has learned soemjthing constructive by playing baseball in the Cal Ripken League, letting their voice be heard, in a postive way, and oh, wishing the other teams good luck during the season... Can you believe this kid had the nerve to say something like that? LOL! Conclusion: this child has polite manners, good values, and respect for his teammates and others of whom he will compete against. I would like to thank all the coache's for all the time they put in for our children. We should all remember that this is just a game and someone always has to loose (we where there alot last year). All these kids play their hearts out for us and weather you finished last or first it really doesn't matter what matters is that you gave it all you could. To all the coaches of Cal Ripken I may not always agree with the way things are done but I do recognize that all your time is volunteered.....THANK YOU |

Life is short, enjoy it, and don't let others get to you, please. My son has had a wonderful 3 years on Mama Rosa's with great coaches and managers, believe me, we've had our ups and downs too -- winning first place last year and being eliminated and not even making the playoffs this year, but heh, they still have a great squad in my eyes. Best of luck to the remaining teams in the majors - whoever wins the title truly deserves it....parents, let your children enjoy baseball for what it was meant to be.....Mike & Vin - it was a great run, thanks for being great leaders! Please keep up the great work next year, especially with all the new players you had this year..... |
