bayonne June 24, 2009 7:50:17 AM Entry ID: 1650242 | I would like to congratulate Joe De Chiaro, his coaches, and the players from McCabes on winning the Babe Ruth Championship last night. They play the game the way it should be played. The coaching staff not only prepares them for every game but also molds them into fine young men. The players on that team are extremely talented and are some of the classiest group of players i have ever seen play at that level. Hope to see all of you at the awards dinner in November! |

Bayonne June 20, 2009 8:53:19 PM Entry ID: 1647922 | Congratulations to nick Brancatella and his entire coaching staff for a great season. After seeing nick for the past 3 seasons manage and coach condo,I saw a man who is one of the most dedicated person to trying to get his players to play at there highest potential. He definitely strives to get his players to believe in themselves that they can do it.His main task is to teach them and prepare them for the next level of play. He definitely is a credit to the Cal Ripkin jr base ball league.Nick,I applaude you-"YOU ARE THE BEST" |
parent&fan June 19, 2009 8:34:38 AM Entry ID: 1647069 | I would like to take this time to tell all the coaches and league officials thank you for another fine season. My son recently played his last game and closed out two fantastic and fun filled seasons at the yard. My son has played P A L basketball, soccer and floor hockey but baseball was his favorite and not because he won a championship. His coach treated him great and taught him many things about baseball. The league did a magnificant job of being organized and made the yard a place that my entire family enjoyed being around and myself included where I made many new friends in the "snack shack ". Although I stay away from the gossip I could not help but overhear a " few " of the negative things during the season from certain parents about why the league did this and why the league did not do this. It is the same parents who in my sons school yard throughout the year complain about their kids teachers and the principal and why their child received certain injustices. From my prospective and from most of the people I speak to, you all did " many" more good things and you should be proud of it. Continue to do what you do, there is none better. Thanks again. |
richard willcore June 18, 2009 8:24:49 AM Entry ID: 1646329 | I am from Georgia and was up visiting a friend and his kid to see a few of the rookie league playoffs as well wanting to stop down at that gorgeous field of yours, and wow am I impressed. Not only the quality of talent is superior in this league, looking at this field and how far you guys/gals have come in a few short years is mind boggling. I was also here about 5 yrs ago and I cannot believe what I am seeing. I took pictures and asked alot of questions so I can try and incorporate this down by where my son plays. We too are breaking away from the other league in our town and are looking to start a CAL RIPKEN LG. From the folks who are the reason behind this great league,I appreciate how open and down to earth you were when I asked all those questions. Keep up the great work Bayonne Cak Ripken, you are a model of what all league's should be. |

Bayonne June 17, 2009 10:12:29 AM Entry ID: 1645708 | I would like to CONGRATULATE the 2009 Amadeo & Miller club for a sensational performance this year. You guys were simply awesome. 15-0 in 2009 to do something that no other Cal Ripken Major league team has ever done is an accomplishment. You guys had much pressure on you all year in an attempt to win the Championship for a 2nd consecutive year---And additional pressure with the undefeated record. What an exciting Championship game and congrats to Chris Corner for a well played ballgame. This group of 10,11, 12 yr olds played the game of baseball the right way, always hustling, played aggressive, and displayed sportsmanship & enthusiasm. Kudo's to the young players of A&M and the usual job well done for the one of the finest coaching staff in the league. Congrats A&M! |

Both teams deserve recognition as it was GREAT to see kids at such a young age, play like they did yesterday. I am not originally from Bayonne but I can honestly say this talent pool of young kids in incredible. The league is very organized and I am proud to be apart of it. |
A Bielan Mom June 7, 2009 7:22:21 PM Entry ID: 1639037 | Bielan Boys... Your season may have ended today but I just wanted to say that you are all AWESOME players and very special young men, and each and every one of your games were exciting and fun to watch! All of us parents are proud of the way you came through this season, especially with some of the challenges you faced. A huge THANK YOU also goes out to Coach Pete and Coach Juan. You are both two very dedicated people and your players aren't the only ones who look up to you! You have taught our boys not only how to be better ball players, but to be better people, and you've also taught them how to hold their heads high no matter what! So thank you to the entire Bielan team and their coaches for such a great season. Us parents truly appreciate you all. |
