December 25, 2009 8:08:23 PM Entry ID: 1744858 | Congratulations to the west lynn b squad on making it as far as you did, however I do have to comment on the xmas eve parade..as I brought my children to the fayette st firehouse to watch the parade...there were two trucks carrying west lynn players....in front of me were several girls wearing east lynn sweatshirts and as west lynn went by..there were cheering very loudly for west lynn..the first truck, including the coach, yelled 'thanks' with smiles (very happy to see), however the second truck yelled obsenities and said, WE BEAT YOU! Truly unnecessary! Regardless of the city rivalry we are all from the same city...perhaps part of the team should be as appreciative as the other half...it was a bit appalling in front of children, as well as some of the lynn firefighers watching. |
