I remember when I first joined and I was struggling through practice but I was able to run with other runners who were faster than me and it's the same for this year. I got to go to meets that I'd never thought I would see and run with and against people that I never thought I would meet, and those experiences has given me a small look into the the large sport of track and field. Coach walker is an absolutely amazing coach and anyone who doubts could look up Fast Lane track club anywhere and see that they are always number one. His coaching has helped so many people get scholarships in track and field for college and he continues to do so even today. I could honestly say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Fast Lane, and even though the practice is hard the results are worth it. |

I came in super nervous but ready to work, and that's definitely what I've done. Coach Walker and all my new friends on the team have pushed me to work harder than I ever have, and I can really see my improvement. Coach Walker has made me feel like I'm part of the family and I'm so thankful to be training with him. I've always been outspoken and able to make friends easily, but Fastlane has made me more independent and more outspoken than ever, and I'm so grateful. I'm having so much fun running, working, and seeing my times drop. Fastlane has made me love track more than ever and I'm excited to continue here. |

I wanted to do fast lane for two reasons: first reason is so I won't get out of shape and the second is that I wanted to get faster. Even though this is my first summer doing fast lane I have seen very much improvements in my self. Coach walker is an amazing coach and he has pushed me to have a PR in all three events that I run, which are the 100m, 200m and 400m. Not just on the track I have improved but also at home eating healthier, staying hydrated, and knowing when I should be icing myself. Those three things helped my running greatly too. This was my summer before I become a Sophmore, meaning I have three more years left to run in high school and I know for a fact I'm going to be running with fast lane for the rest of those three years. |

I came on fastlane believing I was only a 100m runner and a 200m but that soon changed when I met Coach Walker . My 8th grade year I was running at a track meet and I was running the most pitiful 200m ......and coach Walker came up to my mom well not came to my mom ran to my mom ...and he said " I would love for her to run for my club .. I see something very special in her". Indeed coach Walker saw something special because I now hold some of the fastest times in the nation and I'm going to be honest I didn't think I was going to get this far . He's been My coach . My dad . My mentor. My life coach and .Because he has been all these things it has pushed me to fight to be on top and with all his positivity I know i can get there. I know I'm probably one of coach walkers hardest athletes he has ever dealt with . In fact, he tells me i am everyday and and I probably will always be . I've went from an unknown runner to a world class sprinter ...so coach Walker says . Once he got me stronger he threw me in the 400m which was his plan from when I first met him . The 400m for me is probably the race I preform best in I thought I would hate it but i love it ..... coach Walker says " it's the money making race " ... And again he was right I can't thank him enough for making me who I am .Honestly I would be nothing without him cause he doesn't just pick up fast people . He turns you from a typical track athlete to an elite runner and that's a real program when you turn somebody into something and your able to watch them develop skills that the didn't have once before . When I first started I didn't even come out of blocks . Or get down on the line to be honest I just stood there and coach Walker shipped that into shape real quick I was coming out of blocks at my first track meet with him . Lord I don't know how but I did it ... But again power to coach Walker cause you can come thinking you can do anything but he works with you until you get it and do it to your best ability ... I went to the biggest track meet of my life in Oregon called the Prefontaine Classic "they paid for my whole trip there which was amazing and I got to share this with my coach it was honestly one of the best things I could ever ask for . He was the reason I was there and he got to share the experience with me and I was happy because he was happy ... I got to meet Olympians and overall it just made me want to be able to experience that all the time I gathered information from from the Olympians .... And one thing I can remember that they all said was listen to your coach . Coach Walker always tells me listen to him and when I do everything goes right for me . Your coach is your ticket to success my coach has to been my ticket to my whole track life . And I want him to know I thank him, I love him , I praise him ., and I thank god that he sent you to me because your the most amazing person to be around to be coached by and Ima stick by your side #1COACH |

The first day I came out for practice I was a little nervous, but by the end practice I was already feeling like i was apart of the Fast Lane family. For me Coach Walker has been a blessing in my life both on and off the track. When coach Walker makes you a promise he always keeps his word, with that being said he promised that he would get me into college and that's exactly what he did even though i did not run my last year of high school track. Fast Lane is the big family that i always wanted it doesn't matter how old you as long as you ran for Fast Lane it makes you family. Being apart of this club has not only helped me get better in track but also as a person. If i didn't meet Coach Walker i don't know where i would be right now. When i go to college in the fall I know that I will come back so I can help out the rest of our Fast Lane family. |

In this short amount of time my life has taken a complete 180. I went from an unknown newbie in the sport to having goals and serious training. The expertise of coach walker has changed my life not only track wise but in my personal life as well. Traveling though my first ever indoor season I became the number one pentathalet in the nation and geared up for my upcoming highschool season. Because of the training and experience I had gained from my time with fast lane i had a great senior year. Fast lane track club opened doors for me and I am now committed to run track and field at Auburn University the fall of 2015 and have hopes of joining the USA junior track and field team. I can't thank coach walker and my teammates enough for creating such an amazing opportunity and environment that has allowed me to reach my goals and grow. Coach walker Is like a father to me and I know he has made an incredible impact on everyone around him. We love you coach walker! Even through the deadly workouts my team struggles together, laughs together and succeeds together. We are apart of a big family connected with past present and future members. I now have a future ahead of me but I'll always live life in the fast lane. |

Coach Walker has not only coached me in track but to also become a better man. He has not only helped me get faster and pushed me to limits to make me better but has also kept me out of trouble and has showed me the right way to carry my self on and off the track. Coach Walker has definitely been a phenomenal coach and a father figure to me and i am blessed god has put him in my life. |

Without my bro Jonathan telling me about fast lane I probably wouldn't even have joined. Joining fast lane has kept me occupied throughout the year instead of being at home bored. When I go to practice I actually want to go because I know I am getting better and the right practice I need. While on Fast lane I have had two personal records within one month and that just came from hard work. Fast lane helped me meet a lot of new people throughout palm beach county who have the same interest and desire as me. Coach walker is a great coach who knows what he is talking about when he tells you something. Coach walker is like a father figure to some of the athletes at fast lane and I appreciate how he goes out of his way to help support his athletes. Without Fast lane I wouldn't have been able to travel to these different meets and now I see who I'm competing with throughout Florida and I see that I just have to grind harder to reach my goals. Fast Lane is an amazing club and I'm glad I joined. |

There has always been that 'ONE' person that would beat me in A race by A second or two. But going to practice, working with Coach Walker, and having confidence in myself has not just made me faster then that one girl but it has made me more stonger and more determained. Also, being apart of FastLane has allowed me to experience some things that I never thought I would have the chance to experience. We come out, enjoy our selves, joke around, & play a lot but most importantly we WORK HARD! . Not only are we Friends, we are Fam'ILY' ? . Coach Walker has pushed me threw Thick & Thin. He has worked hard to help me. Without the help of Coach Walker I wouldn't have brought home A metal from each of my events. I love running with this Club, it has pushed me to A WHOLE new level. I live all the way in Pembroke Pines, FL, and the club is located in West Palm Beach, so I traveled the extra mile on a train just to practice with the club. This club is basically like a family environment, where everyone comes together as one. This club allowed me to meet new people and travel places i never even thought I'd go. About the Coach, Derek Walker, that man is fantastic. He's loving, giving, protecting, and much much more to all of his athletes. He never gives up on us, but pushes us to greater limits of success. Even though I couldn't compete this year due to injury, I learned alot from Walker and the rest of the coaching staff. I love every single person out there. I lied going to practice and getting better everyday. I liked Walkers workouts and I feel like my senior year this year will be my strongest year for track and I hope to leave an impression at my school before I leave. Boynton beach July 16, 2013 2:48:40 PM Entry ID: 2035678 | Hi my name is Bryan ,and this year was actually my first year training and competing with coach walker and the fast lane track club, and I'm glad I made that decision this is one of the best decisions I made so far this year because I started out by not knowing anybody on the team even though I was always at the track training on my own but coach walker and the team treated me like family and ever since then it's been all love I really want to thank coach walker for helping to stay in shape and for helping improve on my craft sprinting and hurdling wise even though his not a hurdle coach lol I don't think he remember but I told him one day that it was a blessing for me to be coached by a somebody like who had reached the pro level in track and field and very humble for that and that's something I won't ever forget. It has allowed me to meet new people be a better athlete and travel everywhere and experiance new things such as bigger arenas and more serious competitions. Without this track club I wouldn't have gotten a scholarship to Kennesaw State University in Georgia. I am truley blessed to have Coach Walker and Coach Robinson. Honestly i wish i met Coach Derek Walker from when i was younger, but it doesn't matter because God put certain people in your life for a reason. Coach Walker came in my life to help me both physically and mentally. And i definitely got stronger. After all the work i put in, and all the guidance Coach has given me, here i am going to college on a full athletic scholarship. And don't get me started on the team. anybody that comes into fast lane are automatically considered family! Nobody is out there to judge you. when you're out with fast lane you're there to have.a great time, while at the same time acheive your goals!!!! The first practice was crazy because we had people from everywhere from Belle Glade to Royal Palm to PK all Palm Beach County students came together to do one thing train hard and get better at Track&Field I loved every minute of it. Now I am about to be a senior in college in the spring,and I look back at the fast lane family I encountered with over the year's ,friends I will never forget ,Events and people I competed with. Memories and morals I will forever cherish. I am so grateful God put me in the right place at the right time after my high school race so coach walker could recruit me to be apart of this great Journey of being part of the Fast Lane Family. I performed very good this 2012 season I Pr'd in the 60m, 800m, 400m 200m, Long Jump,of course relays and I got Coach's Award 2012, and our team won our Conference Carolina's.
