windsor May 1, 2019 12:38:38 PM Entry ID: 2092520 | They are working on it now, it should be out very soon. Let Barry know if you would be interested in doing the schedule in the future I'm sure he wouldn't mind. |
Guest Halifax April 30, 2019 10:47:51 PM Entry ID: 2092514 | When is the schedule going to be released? There is a chance that someone will have to go early to sherose island and would be nice to know before a week or two before the season starts. Not hard to make a schedule |

Windsor April 22, 2019 4:47:21 PM Entry ID: 2092397 | There has been a lot of talk about the change to move provincials earlier...I made it clear i was not in favor when we had the discussion with BNS and the metro league. This will be different for sure...makes prov's like a mid season tournament and less of a finale for the season. Our guys are saying it puts more emphasis on our league, since our league finals will be after provincials and the official end to our season. Not 100% sure of the date yet but it will most likely be on labor day weekend or maybe the following weekend. |

NA April 17, 2019 5:30:08 PM Entry ID: 2092347 | That's a shame...shortens the season quite a bit. Leaves me to wonder if there will even be time for league tournament? Loved having it on the long weekend of Labour day! |

windsor April 17, 2019 4:21:10 PM Entry ID: 2092344 | I just rec'd this from BNS Good Afternoon, Thank you all for your participation in the discussion around the Intermediate Provincials. We certainly want to work with the groups to ensure the championships are accessible and enjoyable for all teams. After receiving feedback from all parties, and evaluating the capacity of the organization during that time period, we have decided to hold all Intermediate Championships from August 16th-18th. We understand there was not going to be a solution that was 100% ideal for everyone, but this weekend makes the most sense for the organization. There are only 3-4 other potential Provincial Championships that weekend Not running into September eliminates conflicts that many adults with children have with returning to school, hockey tryouts, etc. We often lose umpires past Labour Day due to school, other commitments, etc. Mid August will allow for the best officials to be available We often have Intermediate players who coach their kids that have to decide whether to coach or play on Provincial weekend. This weekend will minimize conflicts. There is no potential for Qualifiers at Intermediate, making it a division that can be planned for earlier, and allowing for an earlier Provincial date. We feel the advance notice should allow the leagues to schedule their own playoffs around the new Provincial date. JASON Windsor April 9, 2019 9:38:30 AM Entry ID: 2092207 | After the meeting Sunday there is some news! ! Hantsport and Kennetcook will both be taking a leave of absence for this upcoming season. We have had 2 new / old teams for this year, Amherst and The Albions are returning to the NSIBL. We are looking for a few positions to be filled with the league, after many years Cory Higgins will not be returning as web master. Cory has agreed to help the new person get familiar will the site and offer support but we will need someone to step up for this position asap. Also Laurie Johnson will not be returning as League secretary after many years with the league in various positions, Laurie has also agreed to help with the transition to the new person taking over. Barry has also indicated he would like to step down after this year so will be looking for a President for next season. If anyone is interested in filling any of these positions or being involved in any way please contact Barry Anderson or myself Thanks Jason Hanes |
