For anyone who is new to the league...it is one of the best nights of the year...All the filet mignon on garlic bread that you can eat, all the drinks, music by DJs Hozzy G & Bobby D, 50/50 and prizes. Ask anyone who has gone previous years and they will tell you it's a great time out for the parents and a chance to mingle with each other and make some new friends & show why our organization is such a close knit family. Casual attire....You can reserve tables of 8 if you want....or come alone....Why not come out and support the league and have a great night out. You will absolutely love the food. Pete Siebel Bayonne January 8, 2009 9:49:50 AM Entry ID: 1539125	RUTH & RIPKEN BOWL-A-THON!!! Saturday, March 28 10:00 a.m. at Hudson Lanes. Entrance fee $7.00 includes 2 games and shoe rental. There are four divions: Rookie, Prep, Majors and Ruth. Prizes will be awarded to the bowler that raises the most money for each division. Also a pizza party will be awarded to the team at each division that has the most players on its 2009 roster to paticipate in the Bowl-A-Thon. Bowlers solicit pledges of 15 cents to 30 cents per pin from family and friends. You can sign up by emailing me at mpsiebel@aol.com. This is a great way for the kids to get together and have some FUN! Hope to see you at the lanes!

Thank you for recognizing what a great job that was done by the Bayonne Cal Ripken organization. As a parent of One of the players, I am proud to have my son play in this league. These guys/gals did a FABULOUS job......Now to you and your organization. You guys (The coaches and parents) didn't do too bad yourselves. You folks handled yourselves with class. The kids were AWESOME. The coaches were GREAT and the parents were all CLASS. As a parent, it was a pleasure meeting you all. I hope we get to meet again next year, as 9yr olds of course.........and if not, let's not forget, what our kids (your and ours) did, it is a once in a lifetime deal. It's rare that that you get to the level these kids got to. Imagine they do it twice...... Good luck to you and your organization and I'm sure I am speaking for all the parents of/and BAYONNE CAL RIPKEN ORGANIZATION when I say, We hope to meet you again.
Chris Mastro Newark Delaware August 18, 2008 1:15:59 PM Entry ID: 1441304	To Bayonne, the staff and all the organizers of the 2008 Regional Tournament, We would like to express our thanks in everything you did to make our boys and families feel very much at home during this Regional tournament. Your hard work and dedication to the committment of this event was felt by not only our 8 year old boys but the families and friends that came out to cheer us on. Everyone from the concession stand, field preparations, commentation of the games and the parking ushers was well organized and thought out. When you have out of towners such as ourselves, it is very difficult to reassure an entire group of ball players and parents that everything will be alright. I can honestly say that with Bayonne as our hosts that is exactly what happened. We would also like to take a moment to commend the Umpires of each game on a wonderful job. More often than none the umpires are ridiculed and yelled at because of sketchy calls. I think that parents and umpires alike made great choices during the tournament. We would also like to say Thank you to the East Brunswick parents, coaches and 8 Year Old All-Stars. The parents were very friendly cordially engaging in conversations with some of our parents and children. The coaching staff was extremely friendly towards our children and coaches and showed a great deal of sportmanship. Congrats! To New Brunswick for winning the 8 Year Old Regional Tournament! I can honestly say that our boys had a wonderful time, no matter the outcome of all three of their games. They were eager everyday to get out there and just simply play ball. They were just so excited to be there that I don't even think they noticed who was winning or losing, which is always a good trait for our young ones! Thank you again to you as tournament hosts, directors, staff and to Babe Ruth organization for giving these 8 Year old All-Stars a truly amazing tournament! "No Matter Who You Are Or What You Do, You Are All TRULY ALL-STARS!" Congrats! To All the 2008 Regional Tournament 8 Year Old All-Stars! We played that team in the Regional tournament, and let me tell you, they were the team to beat. Our 12 year old team played them TERRIFICLY and really was the ONLY opposing team that gave them a run for their money! ... and I'd like to give an extra congratulations again to Frankie DiPillo who managed to hit TWO HOME RUNS against two different pitchers of the World Series winning Delaware team ... GREAT JOB once again to our 12 year old All Star State Champions! =)
Coach Mike B A Y O N N E August 16, 2008 10:15:23 AM Entry ID: 1440314	Now that the GREAT run is over, I would like to thank my players, their parents, the coaches, and the Bayonne Cal Ripken fans who supported and cheered us on right to the very end. First, to the great bunch of 7 & 8 year old kids who took us on a run we will never forget. It started with an undefeated district championship and then that incredible day when we played 3 games in three different tournaments in 3 different cities in one day and won them all, starting at 9:00 in the morning & finishing at 10:00pm at night. For the incredible state title run in which you went all the way to the Championship game B4 coming up short and of course just recently winning 3 games in the Regional tournament ( A Bayonne record ) b4 losing another tough one. A record of 18-7 1 for 8 yr olds was truely remarkable. You were all good individual players when you started our incredible journey but by the time it was all over, ( 26 games later ) you turned into something much more important, which was one fantastic TEAM. From the very first practice back in June, right up to the last game the other night, you showed everyone that two of the most important qualities to have both on & off the field are " Persistence & Determination", and to our 8 year TEAM, you showed both. You cried together, you laughed together, you made some new friends for life not only with the other kids on the team but with the adult coaches who now love you like brothers. The parents also were great as you never complained and were very supportive throughout the entire process. To the coaches, we had a great mixture of experience and different personalities to make these kids into a splendid team and I thank you. To all the fans who came to our games, especially to the YARD this past week to cheer on our kids, thank you very much.
