Medford Mass. August 14, 2006 2:06:25 PM Entry ID: 908660 | On Sat.there were 4 games. From the first game that went into extra innings to the last game that saw an exciting comeback ,all the games were very enjoyable. We expect the same this week and tonight there will be 2 exciting games. As far as the Dance contests are concerned, the group from Charlestown was really impressive. They had plenty of energy, were good singers and are a great bunch of people. If everybody in Charlestown are like them it must be a great place to live in! Once again the girls from North Andover excelled. This time they brought PomPoms! Although the group had a few replacements, they didn't miss a beat. They sang well and the NEW ROUTINE was almost perfect .The judge from East Germany refused to give it a 10.00 ,his score of 9.75 was the only non-perfect score. We did hear about the successful yard sale but are wondering will there be more ? Remember that this tournament is for our kids. Try to make it fun for them, the wins and losses really do not count but the experiences that they have here do. We all look forward to this weeks games. |

Medford Mass. August 12, 2006 12:21:31 PM Entry ID: 907503 | Today,Sat.8/12/2006, we have 4 very interesting games and we hope to see some big crowds. The games are getting better as the players are becoming more comfortable . On the "DANCE FRONT",we saw a new dance team from North Andover. They were very impressive with their version of "YMCA" . We hope to see some new teams from Saugus, Malden, Medford, and others. Remember ,this is a time for all of us to enjoy. Most of these players are playing in their last Little League games. The next games that they play will be on Major League Fields,90 feet between bases ,and 60ft. 6 inches for the pitcher. Let us all have some fun and enjoy the kids while they are young. We all age TOO QUICKLY ! |

August 9, 2006 4:23:00 PM Entry ID: 905188 | The Tournament has begun. The level of baseball has been very high ! There have been some excellent defensive plays. I have no idea on what 2 teams will make the finals because the talent on all the teams is very good. All the games have been very enjoyable to watch. The dance contests are getting more professional every .The"Dancers" from Wakefield are one of the best groups in the past 11 years. The "GRILL" has produced EXCELLENT SAUSAGES and CHEESEBURGHERS, my compliments to the chefs. The "Refreshment Stand" has been taking suggestions and my sources tell me that there is a strong possibility that "Homemade Ravioli's and "Homemade Meatballs" may be available before the end of the tournament. TAKE YOUR FRIENDS TO THE GAMES AND HAVE SOME FUN, REMEMBER WE ARE ALL WORKING TO HELP OUR KIDS HAVE A GREAT TIME |

Medford August 8, 2006 5:11:53 PM Entry ID: 904321 | One of the ways you can repay the hard working volunteers that work very hard to make this tournament as special as it is, is to write a short message telling us what you think of our tournament. Please take a moment to tell us what you like and don't like so we can make this experience even better for the kids. Thanks, Ron Giovino Tournament Director |
