Congrats to the entire team and to your manager and coaching staff led by Lou Soscia who did a great job. |

Bayonne May 28, 2008 1:02:30 PM Entry ID: 1393411 | Why is the Rookie league roster not updated? And congats to all of the players that played in this weekends tourneys. I heard it was a job well done for Bayonne (9-12yrs olds) in the short period of time against some of the top travel teams in the state! Bayonne will make a great run in all of the age group tourneys this summer. Don't forget our 8 year olds too. Glad too see some of you yesterday at the meeting. I know it's a long time away but Bayonne will host the 8 year old regional tourney (It's their World Series type for that age!)Starting on August 7 at THE YARD! So I hope that some of the players friends and teammates and supporters of the league show their love for BAYONNE CAL RIPKEN BASEBALL! It will be a home field advantage for those kids! |

Bayonne May 26, 2008 12:37:52 PM Entry ID: 1392199 | Hello. I first want to say that we experienced our first All Star Tournament weekend with the 12-year-old team coached by Lou Soscia and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was a great experience for us and for our son, Zachary. We noticed that most of the other teams, if not all of them, had a team name. Such as, Hawks, Raiders, etc. I would like to suggest that the Bayonne team also have a team name. A few suggestions are; Bulls, Bengals, Barricudas, Bandits, Ferrets (lol). I think the team members would enjoy it and it would be a nice feature for the Bayonne team. Thanks again, and we look forward to a great summer, Norman and Lisa |

Randy Barrier Bayonne April 11, 2008 12:02:59 AM Entry ID: 1366335 | Hey all, Don't forget to come down to good 'ol Veterans Stadium and catch all the latest Babe Ruth action. Lots of good teams, anybody can beat anybody on any given day, you never know. Who knows maybe even Joe D. will get the hook one exciting night and the crowd will let out a huge roar! Seriously, Vet Stadium is a big place, near the water and beautiful scenery. I'm noticing the crowds are starting to increase and people are starting to come by and hang out and watch REAL BASEBALL at regulation distance. Come see all your former Cal Ripken players and see how they're doing with the big boys. Now if we can only get that darn refreshment stand open under the bleachers! We could sure use that Elio's pizza over there too. |
