WELCOME! IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ BELOW
Welcome all to the AABC 16U Mickey Mantle Atlantic Coast Regional being held this Thursday, July 19-22, 2018 (July 22nd is set as a rain make-up date). This is a double elimination wood bat tournament where the winner will represent our region in the AABC Mickey Mantle World Series next week in Waterbury, CT on July 25-29, 2018.
The link below is the 2018 AABC Handbook that contains the rules for this and other AABC sanctioned events. We will go strictly by the book. Ruben Ramirez is the tournament director and head of the umpires. He has several years of experience running numerous AABC Atlantic Coast sanctioned tournaments and does a good job keeping things running the way they should.

A few more things that must be done ASAP:1) Each team's head coach will meet with Ruben at 10 AM on Thursday, July 19th at the American Legion Field. The address is below. Please understand that NYC traffic could be horrendous in the morning. A few teams will be staying in hotels on Wednesday night and teams that are traveling have to plan ample time for the commute.
At the meeting, Ruben will:
A) Collect your registration fee of $500 from each team in the form of CASH preferred, check or money order payable to Parade Ground League.
B) Go through some of the AABC tournament and facilities rules
C) Confirm rosters against the birth certificates (MANDATORY). Please arrange your birth certificates in the order your roster is written. No birth certificate, then that player or team cannot play.
D) Check for your K&K insurance
2) Please familiarize yourself with the AABC Handbook rule book above, especially the pitching rules on page 16.
3) The bracket is attached for the tournament is attached and the games will start at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 19th at the American Legion Fields for all teams.
4) Team rosters must be sent to my email, coachqysl@icloud.com, by tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 17th. All players must be 16U age. Please read on page 6 of the AABC Handbook item #4 regarding the age guidelines. We will input all players’ names and uniform numbers into the scoring system that we will be using for the tournament, so please adhere to this deadline. I have attached a roster form that you may use if you need one.
