ATHLETE'S CODE OF CONDUCT
I will emphasize the ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and fair play. I will show courtesy to my opponents and officials. I will recognize athletic contests are serious educational endeavors. I will give complete allegiance to my coaches who are the instructional authority for my team. I will discourage fans, fellow players and parents from undercutting my coaches authority. I will follow the rules and regulations established by my team, the Association and SDYFCC at all times.
I will not use profanity or talk "trash" before, during or after any game. I will not use drugs, alcohol, or tobacco. I will not criticize my teammates or act in any way that may incite spectators.
[the following is an excerpt from the Cheerleader/Player/Parent Clairemont Code of Conduct Handbook]:
4.(e): At no time during a Youth Football or Cheer event will the following be tolerated: smoking on the practice or playing field, the possession and drinking of alcoholic beverages and/or the the possession of illegal substances, the use of abusive or profane language, and/or deliberately inciting or participating in "unsportsman like" conduct. Any violation of the above will be cause for, but is not limited to the immediate removal of your child from his/her squad, and/or your removal from the field, and any other necessary actions.
