Decatur Area Swim Team

Mission Statement:

DAST is a goal-oriented swim program that represents the city of Decatur in a positive light. It strives to create an empowered, self-confident, and healthy athlete who can reach his or her highest personal potential, both as an athlete and a person.

All DAST Coaches are US Certified as described below:

All coach members are required to fulfill and pass the following:

a. Background Check
b. CPR, First Aid, Infant, AED
c. Athlete Protection Courses
d. Safety Training for Swim Coaches

Article 502.4.3 "All coaches of USA Swimming clubs, including seasonal clubs, shall join USA Swimming as coach members and shall satisfactorily complete safety training required by USA Swimming"
