Just a friendly reminder that our second and last FanCloth shop for the season closes tonight (February 10) at midnight.  You can access the store at https://fancloth.shop/HHYB3 and pick out some Druid Hills gear for your player, family and fans.  Baseball and non-sport specific Druid Hills items are available. Orders placed in this second sale should be received in early March.
 
Also, with the incoming weather, there has been a schedule change.  The Varsity Game at Redan which was scheduled for tomorrow at 5:30P at Redan HS has been moved to today at Redan HS.  The bus will pick players up in front of the school at 4PM.  The Varsity Team will have practice at their regularly scheduled time tomorrow in place of the game.

Our Concession Stand is open for every home 9th grade, JV and Varsity Baseball Game.  Please click HERE to sign up to work a shift.  It is easy and you have a great view of the game from the concession stand.  All proceeds made at the Concession Stand go directly back into our program.

IMPORTANT: All high school players must have their completed sports physical on file on the electronic platform, DragonFly Max, prior to tryouts in order to be eligible to try out for the team, including any 8th graders that want to try out for the 9th/JV Team.  Hard copies will not be accepted.

DHHS Pre-Season Conditioning

Pre-Season Workouts will begin on Monday, October 29 and go through Thursday, January 10.

Workouts will take place from 4:15 to 6PM Monday through Thursday at the Indoor Facility, behind Druid Hills Middle School.  Off weeks  are scheduled during Thanksgiving and Winter Breaks. 

Pre-Season Workouts are for players and those interested in trying out for our high school teams in 8th - 12th grade. 

Players should bring work out clothes, cleats, glove and water/sports drink to the sessions.

2018 Druid Hills Baseball Program Banquet

 

The 2018 Druid Hills Baseball Program Banquet, honoring our Varsity, Junior Varsity, 9th Grade, and Middle School Teams will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 6:30PM in the Druid Hills High School Cafeteria (1798 Haygood Drive, NE, Atlanta, GA 30307). 

 

Players and Coaches are free, cost is $5 for each family member and guest, payable at the door by cash, check or credit card.  Players should wear a collared shirt and pants (no jeans).

 

Please RSVP with the number of people attending in your family to dhhsbaseball@gmail.com by Monday, May 7th.  One reply per family, indicating the number of attendees (including the number of players and/or coaches).

 

Uniform Turn In for Varsity, JV and 9th Grade Teams

 

Uniform Turn in and Clean Up for Varsity, JV and 9th Grade Teams will be held this Saturday, May 5 from 10AM to 12PM.  Players should plan to bring their clean uniform pieces to the field Saturday morning and assist with cleaning up the clubhouse, field and other facilities.

If your player missed the clean up on Saturday, Round Two of Uniform Turn In and Clean Up will be held Tuesday, May 8 at 4:15PM.  

Druid Hills Varsity Baseball Team Earns Bid to the Georgia State Baseball Playoffs

Congratulations to the Druid Hills High School Varsity baseball team for earning a 3rd seed in the Georgia State High School baseball playoffs!

This is the 3rd consecutive year that the team has made the state playoffs. 

The team finished the regular season with a Region Conference record of 11-7 and was 15-11 overall.
 

We will play the 2nd seed in AAAA Region 3, Cross Creek High School, in Augusta, GA.  The first round of the state playoffs is a best of 3 series with a doubleheader on Thursday, April 26, and the deciding game on Friday, April 27, if necessary.

NOTE: Due to weather conditions, the doubleheader has been moved to Friday, April 27 with Game 1 starting at 4:15 and Game 2 starting shortly after the completion of Game 1.  Game 3, if necessary, will be played on Saturday, April 28 at 12 Noon.  All games will take place at Cross Creek High School, 2855 Old Waynesboro Road, Augusta, GA 30906.

3/25 (Sunday): MS vs. AJA (1:00 at Medlock field 6); High School Teams are off

3/12/18 (Monday): Varsity game at North Clayton cancelled.  NO BASEBALL ACTIVITIES TODAY.  Use this time to focus on getting healthy and caught up on school work.  

3/13/18 (Tuesday): High School Teams practice from 4:00-6:15; MS game vs. Inman Lower at 7:40 at Rehoboth Field 1

3/14/18 (Wednesday): Varsity at home vs. North Clayton at 5:00; 9th/JV practice from 4:00-5:30; MS practice from 6:30-8:15

3/15/18 (Thursday): JV at home vs. Lakeside at 5:00; Varsity practice 4:00-5:30

3/16/18 (Friday): Varsity Double Header at North Clayton (bus will leave the high school at 3:45); 9th/JV practice from 4:00-6:00

3/17/18 (Saturday): 9th Grade Double Header at home vs. Westlake.  Game 1 will start at 12PM with Game 2 beginning shortly after the conclusion of Game 1.  Varsity/JV are off; MS game vs. Paideia White at 4:00 at Medlock Field 6

3/18/18 (Sunday): High School Teams are off; MS practice from 12:00-2:00

3/6/18 (Tuesday): Varsity at Woodward cancelled. 9th/JV/V practice 4:00-6:00.  DHMS game vs. Lakeside Purple cancelled.  

3/7/18 (Wednesday): All after school baseball activities cancelled today.  Varsity games against Woodward will be played at a later date, TBA.  No practice for 9th/JV or MS.  

3/8/18 (Thursday): 9th home game vs. Woodward at 5:00; JV/V practice from 4:00-5:30

3/9/18 (Friday): Varsity home game vs. Clarkston at 4:45; 9th/JV practice from 4:00-5:30

3/10/18 (Saturday): 9th/Varsity off; JV at Chamblee at 10:00 followed by a game vs. Lakeside at Chamblee at 12:30 (Bus will pick up and drop off from the middle school at 8:30); Middle School game vs. Miller Grove at 6PM at Medlock Park field 6. 

3/11/18 (Sunday): 9th/JV/V off; Middle School practice from 12:00-2:00 at Medlock (or indoor if bad weather)

2/27 (Tuesday): Varsity at Eastside @ 5:55 (Bus leaves from the high school at 3:45); JV at Woodward @5:30 (bus will load high school players at 3:45 & then pick up Middle School players from the middle school around 4:15); MS off
 
2/28 (Wednesday): Varsity home vs. Eastside has been moved to Friday. Varsity will practice with 9/JV from 4:00-6:30; MS practice in indoor facility from 6:30-8:30
 
3/1 (Thursday): 9th/JV/V practice from 4:00-6:15; MS off
 
3/2 (Friday): Varsity team will leave at 12:00 to play a double header at Eastside.  The team will eat during A lunch and we will have our away snack in between games.  Game 1 will begin at 3:45 and we will be the home team.  Game 2 will follow and we will be the visiting team; 9th/JV practice from 4:00-6:00; MS off
 
3/3 (Saturday): JV and 9th games vs Decatur cancelled due to poor field conditions.  Varsity practice 9:00-10:00 (BP & then field prep); MS vs. Renfroe White from 5:00-7:00 at RBC field 1
 
3/4 (Sunday): 9th/JV/V off; MS practice from 12:00-2:00 (either at Medlock if weather permits & no games scheduled or at high school field/indoor facility
 
Please note that if any of the above games are rained out, the high school teams will practice instead from 4:00-6:30 in the indoor facility.

2/23 (Friday): Varsity at Grady at 5:30 (bus leaves from the HS at 3:45).  NOTE:  Grady plays their home games at Alonzo A Crim Open Campus High School, 256 Clifton Streen SE, Atlanta, GA 30317; JV/9th practice from 4:00-6:00.
