The National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association will induct the 2023 Class of the NILCA Hall of Fame during its annual award dinner on November 11 , 2023 at the Plandome CC (NY).
"We are extremely proud to announce the 2023 NILCA Hall of Fame Class," said Joe Baccarella, NILCA Vice President. "Each of these men has established himself among the best to ever to have coached the game of lacrosse , and we look forward to recognizing their incredible accomplishments."
The 2023 NILCA Hall of Fame Class will officially be inducted during the Annual Awards Dinner Presented by the Plandome CC, Roslyn, NY on November 11,2023.
The NILCA is dedicated to the support and education of Secondary School Lacrosse Coaches. Dating back to 1968, the NILCA has supported educational clinics, conventions, HS lacrosse record keeping and selected national Coach and Man of the Year awards. "With the selection of these coaches, winners of over 4000 games in total and who have made an impact on countless young men, we are beyond excited to announce the 2023 honorees”, stated John Kenney , Hall of Fame Committee Chair. “The NILCA applauds those coaches whose mentorship and groundbreaking coaching careers have left an indelible mark on the high school game of lacrosse”. National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association Presents their
2019 Man of the Year Award at the IMLCA’s Annual Convention
Baltimore, MD - The National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association presented their 2019 Man of the Year Award to Clay White, Broadneck HS (MD), at the IMLCA Convention on Friday.
Clay White has coached lacrosse for 43 years, 38 as a Head Coach. Thirty-three of those thirty-eight years was at one school – Broadneck HS. Over Coach White’s 38-year career as the Head Coach, he was able to amass a record of 408 wins and 146 losses. Coach White also captured 4 State Championships at Broadneck HS.
In addition to Coach Whites coaching duties, he was the co-founder of the Maryland State Lacrosse Coaches Association (MSLCA) where he proudly served as President for 30 years.
“NILCA could not be prouder to have named Coach White as our NILCA Man of the Year,” said Ren Pettinelli, President of the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association. “Coach White is an institution not only in the Annapolis area, but throughout Maryland and the national lacrosse community as well.”

National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association Presents their
2019 Coach of the Year Award at the ILMCA’s Annual Convention
Baltimore, MD - The National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association presented their 2019 Coach of the Year Award to Ajay Chawla, Head Coach, Brother Rice HS (MI), at the ILMCA Convention on Friday.
Chawla is the Head Coach of Brother Rice High School’s, 2019 undefeated (23-0), State Championship team, and one of the top-ranked teams in America. The 2019 Championship was Coach Chawla’s 5th career state lacrosse championship. Coach Chawla has an overall record of 115-22.
“NILCA is truly proud to have named Coach Chawla as our NILCA Coach of the Year,” said Ren Pettinelli, President of the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association. “Chawla has not only been able to take over a tradition rich program at Brother Rice, but he has been able to take it to the next level in his short 7-year tenure .”

National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association Presents their
2018 Man of the Year Award
Baltimore, MD - The National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association will present their 2018 Man of the Year Award to George Baldassare, Co-Founder of LaxPower, at the IMLCA Convention this Saturday.
George Baldassare has been involved with lacrosse as a player, coach, reporter and lacrosse expert for almost 50 years. George came onto the national scene in 1999 when he joined the fledgling informational website LaxPower. Since then, Baldassare has been at the forefront of data, scores and stats for both High School and College Lacrosse, keeping the game “top of mind” in a crowded sports landscape.
“NILCA is honored to have named George as our 2018 Man of the Year,” said Ren Pettinelli, President of the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association. “Baldassare has been a consummate professional his entire career, from his early coaching career to co-founding LaxPower. George was able to do more for the growth of our sport nationally, through the use of his “statistical tool,” than anyone one of us could have ever imagined.”

The National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association (NILCA) was formed to provide dedicated service to high school lacrosse coaches throughout the United States. NILCA seeks to identify and provide solutions to issues raised by men’s high school lacrosse coaches. Issues NILCA will address include: high school playing rules, Coaches recognition and awards, the establishment of an All-America program, relations with the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) and the representation of high school coaches at the regional and national level.
NILCA currently has 300 members to which it provides, professional continuing educational opportunities, liability insurance and national recognition. NILCA conducts its annual meeting in association with the IMLCA Convention and has a voting position on their board.
Mission Statement:
NILCA serves as the professional association for Men’s High School Lacrosse Coaches. It provides educational opportunities and serves as a vehicle for networking, the exchange of information and advocacy on behalf of it constituency.
Guiding Principles:
To maintain a broad and active membership base of Men’s Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches in the United States
To provide a highly informative and motivational annual national convention
To provide continuing education opportunities through regional and national programs and events
To offer timely and relevant information via our newsletter and website
To develop programs of strong and viable advocacy on behalf of Men’s High School Lacrosse Coaches
To develop mutually beneficial relationships with other professional associations, governing bodies and school administrations
