The Juniata Thundercats/ SwagNation Youth Organization was started on December 15, 2006. We were formed to enhance opportunities and improve the quality of life for youth in the Philadelphia through life skills, education, and sports competition.

Mission

                The mission of the Thundercats/SwagNation Youth Organization shall be to develop and firmly implant in the youth of our community the principles of honesty, integrity, responsibility, courage, sportsmanship, and respect for rules and regulations in life and in sports. SwagNation will create a nation internally that is not divided by colors or brands while developing youth and adults on understanding that human individuality and differences are important to the overall advancement of society.

Purpose

                The Thundercats/SwagNation Youth Organization was formed to create an inspirational learning environment where children are encouraged to develop strong moral character, strive for academic excellence, and live with a positive attitude, regardless of their socioeconomic status or their individual uniqueness. We plan to assess the needs of community to develop programs and partnerships that create measurable and sustainable change.

Our Strategy

        The Thundercats / SwagNation Youth Organization will team the resources of our community, corporate donors and non-profit partners with the tireless effort of our staff to capture the attention of the area youth. We will improve attitudes about education and living positive lifestyles by offering a life-skills training program and by competing in supervised youth team sports.
