Middletown Men's Softball
The Middletown Adult Softball League: We are now predominately a USA/ASA association slow pitch league. The league consisting of Men, Women and Co-Ed competitive and recreational teams has been a mainstay in the Middletown, CT area for over 30 years.
We play our games behind Moody School at 300 Country Club Road. The fields are 300 ft fenced with lights and have been recognized as some of the best grass/dirt fields in CT and are maintained to near perfection by the Park n Rec Dept. We play mainly on week nights with make-ups played during the week if a field is open OR on weekends.
The Men's Summer League plays from late April to mid-August in Middletown, CT and is open to men ages 18 and over. We have multiple divisions on specific nights for all competition levels. We offer doubleheaders one night a week and single elimination playoffs to top 4 in each division.
***Game times on both fields are:
610 (10 min grace period)
720 (no grace period)
840 (no grace period) == lights off by 1020pm
***ALL GAMES HAVE 70 MIN TIME LIMIT FROM FIRST PITCH – no inning starts after the 70 min
12 run mercy rule after 5 innings. Any game reaching 5 complete innings will be considered a complete game.
Any cracked, dented, rattling, badly scraped, peeled, unpainted, or altered end caps on bats will NOT be allowed for safety reasons.
*All bats must have USA/ASA logo. Other association bats may be allowed if part of the rules for that night (co-ed or divisional play)
****We DO bat test every bat to meet bat manufacturer compression requirements and sticker each bat that passes for insurance compliance and retest as needed to offer the safest league possible.
****USA/ASA Balls and scorebooks are provided once league fees are paid.
The Men's Fall League starts at the end of August and goes through mid-October. It is a shorter season for weather reasons. Rules will be similar to summer and modified as needed depending on the number of teams and nights available etc.
