Bombers are the Champs!!!

The S.I. Bombers captured the 2016 Men's League championship behind a 10-3 victory on Sunday afternoon over the Brooklyn Tides. John DiMartino and Tommy Musso, as they did Thursday night, combined on the hill for the victory. Ken Craddox was 4-4 with 4 RBI's and Matt Connelly had the big blow with a grand slam in the top of the 5th inning. Congratulations to the Bombers and also a special congratulations to the Tides for winning the division and being runner-up overall.


The Mid-Island Men's League 1st ever Men's League All-Star game is in the books as the AL (comprised of the Reds, Hitmen, Cadets, Tax on Wheels and Castleton Corner Cubs) defeated the NL (BK Tides, BK Atlantics, SI Bombers, Panthers and Titans) by the score of 6-4 on Friday, July 29th. White Lightning and Titans Strike Gold!!!

The White Lightning captured the Senior-National championship, defeating Line Drive- Fay 5-4 in the championship game. After a 14-3 regular season, the champs went 3-0 in the playoffs and finished at 17-3 overall.

 

The Richmond Titans brought home the 2nd championship of the summer to Mid-Island as they rallied all the way back from 5-0 down with 2 outs in the 5th to defeat Line Drive 8-5 for the Prep Interleague Championship. The Titans finished 14-4 in the regular season and had a perfect 3-0 mark in the playoffs for an overall 17-4 record.
