Press Release – Dedication

April 2008 The Wilson Central School District, in conjunctionwith the Wilson All Sports Booster Club, plans todedicate the girls’ varsity softball field in the nameof the only softball coach Wilson has had in its 34thyear of softball. The dedication ceremony is planned to take place onSaturday, May 17th at 1:00, to which we will unveilthe sign, to read: Larry Lash Field Larry Lash started Softball at Wilson in the springof 1975 and 33 years later he is still at the helmpreparing his Lakewomen for a defense of theNiagara-Orleans Championship. All in all, Coach Lashhas had 8 League Championships, 6 SectionalChampionships, 1 State Championship and presently 2ndin all time wins in NY State with a record of 432 Wins– 275 Losses. A bonus attraction to the ceremony will be an AlumniSoftball game (or two) immediately following thededication. Any former Wilson softball playerinterested in playing in the alumni game should contact Coach Lash at any of the following:
