Match penalty misdemeneours
Panthers players should note that at the moment in Reccy Hockey , a match penalty can be given for:
-
Dropping the gloves & fighting
-
Throwing a punch, with the gloves on
-
Any form of physical or verbal abuse of any match official
Paisley Panthers Club Rule:
Abuse of Officials:
It has been decided by the Management and the Coach that 'Abuse of Official' penalties are a complete waste of game time and serve no functional use in the strategy of a game.
Referees have a job to do and often it is difficult enough without having to endure vociferous, offensive, unsportsmanlike remarks and comments from disgruntled players who are unable to control their temper.
Our sport, at the moment is very short of referees and the possibility of being subjected to verbal and even physical abuse is discouraging those who might be willing to step in and take on the job.
Therefore Panthers players should note that, for the foreseeable future, if a player incurs a 10 minute misconduct (or higher) penalty, particularly for Abuse of Official in any way, during a game, that player will be removed from the bench for the remainder of the game and will also serve a further one (1) game suspension.
