Player Tryouts for 2018 Season
If you are interested in playing to the Newark Post 10 Generals Please fill out the link on the right entitled "Player Application" we will then verify your address and inform you if you are within our recruiting zone.
FINAL DATE: MAY 21 at 6pm Christiana high school
Post Generals 10 will be holding practice Sunday at 6pm until June 6, 2017.
Opening Day is June 6, 2017 against Post 27 Durney R.C.

The 2017 season begins
The 93rd American Legion Baseball season begins June 6, 2017. Our opening day opponents is Durney Post 27. Come out and enjoy a competitivoilye game between 2 elite teams in Delaware American Legion Senior Baseball League play. Our game colors are gray pants w/navy piping and navy blue button down.

Please understand we really want our American Legion Baseball athletes and visiting teams to have fans watch them play. We expect all spectators to follow the rules while you are on the Christiana HS campus.
***NO PETS*** NO PETS ARE ALLOWED IN THE STADIUM. THIS INCLUDES THE PLAYING FIELD, TRACK, BLEACHERS OR OPEN GRASS AREAS. IF YOU ARE SEEN WITH A PET YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE
1. Home and away fans will be permitted for all events. We recommend 2 fans per athlete
2. All fans are required to wear their mask properly while on the school grounds
3. Fans must socially distance while attending the game. Only family members should sit together
4. Any fan not able to comply with the guidelines will be asked to leave the game
BASEBALL - Fans will not be permitted to sit on the bleachers near the dugouts. FANS WILL BE ABLE TO BRING CHAIRS.
***HOME FANS*** Can sit down the first base line, before the batting cage fence. HOME FANS MAY SOCIALLY DISTANCE ON BLEACHER.
***AWAY FANS*** ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SIT IN THE GRASS AREA NEAR THE DUGOUT OR THE AREA BEHIND THE DUGOUT/BULLPEN AREA. VISITNG FANS MAY SOCIALLY DISTANCE ON BLEACHER AND DOWN THE THIRD BASELINE ON THE STADIUM BLEACHERS.
*** ALL FANS*** NO FAN CAN SIT IN THE AREA BEHIND THE HOME PLATE FENCE BETWEEN THE DUGOUTS NOR THE BULLPEN AREA.

May 18th, 2025 (Weather permitting) from 1:00pm to 3:30pm
May 25th, 2026 (Weather permitting)from 11:00 to 1:30pm
June 2025 Season TBA
Players should be dressed in baseball pants or sweats, cleats, a long sleeve shirt, and baseball cap. Please bring a sweatshirt or light jacket. If weather is poor or the field is unplayable, we will adjust the schedule. Every player should also bring a pair of tennis shoes. We have an outdoor hitting area and we will make use of it during the tryout process.
We are seeking Right and Left Handed Pitchers who throw 80 to 80 mph fastball 90% accuracy consistently for 4 innings!

Newark, Del. – Three Generals players will be selected as the team’s Award Winners for this past season, General Manager Kevin Green announced.
The program, now in its first year, will honor those players who have been outstanding role models and displayed outstanding sportsmanship towards their teammates, coaches, opponents, and game officials or have shown a vast improvement on the field of play in both defense and batting. We will also honor the team hitting leader. The winners receive a certificate noting their award and a trophy.
