Kid's Community Clean Up 7/18/15
On Saturday July 18th Rosamond Youth Football attended the kid's community clean up at United park. The kid's walked the field picking up trash and the adults walked the road picking up trash in the empty lot by United. 70 people came out to pick up trash and 33 of them were RYFC. It is important to keep our youth excited and involved in the community and this was a great experience for us and them! Thank you to the Rosamond Community Watch Program for inviting us out.
Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Jason Carpenter, 39 who suddenly passed away July 5, 2015. Jason was a strong man who no matter the challenge gave his all. He had a positive attitude, quirky sense of humor, and a gift of giving and helping others. He is proceeded in death by his father Larry and survived by mother Ann and brother Joshua.
Just after dating his soul mate for 13 days, Jason and Angie got married Jan 5, 2004. 11 ½ years later they have 4 wonderful children, Marissa (10), Jason Michael II (8), Jonathan (6) and Jeremy (4). Jason was a very dedicated, loving dad. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Whether taking his kids on quad rides, going to the races, or playing football Jason enjoyed every moment with his kids. He was building up memories for his family and friends to forever remember. He left a legacy of joy for life, and love for his family to last a lifetime.
His life touched so many people all around and our community of Rosamond. Jason was very active with the Willow Springs Raceway tending to social media and helping anyone that needed assistance on or prior to race days. Jason was also very active mentoring our youth; he was Commissioner for the RYFC Rosamond Youth Football and Cheer. Words cannot express the loss and gratitude we have for Jason and his family.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at Desert Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Lancaster, Ca. Saturday, July 18th @ 11:00am. Family asks guest to wear favorite camouflage or Steelers gear and shorts (Jason’s favorite). RYFC is asked to wear jerseys and team colors.
On Aug 8th the Willows Spring Raceway will also be dedicating the races to Jason. Races start at 6:00pm, come on out to show your support for this wonderful family.
We will also be having a bake sale and we are looking for volunteers for that. We are also accepting donations for the family to help with funeral expenses. http://www.gofundme.com/z52j2j8s
