And it Continues

August 12, 2013

Kris Edwards recorded another complete game Friday night as the Shamrocks defeated the Tri-City Shark in the opening round of the 2013 Class A State Tournament by a score of 15-3.  Not to be outdone, Lonnie Robinson was on pace to do the same Saturday night until a leg injury forced him out in the 8th.  Sean Lindstrom came on in relief to pick up the save and share in the shutout as the Shamrocks defeated the defending state champion Minnetonka Millers 2-0 to advance to the final four double elimination portion of the tournament next weekend.  The Shamrocks will kick things off against St. Louis Park at 8:30pm on Friday night at Red Haddox field in Bloomington.

Got it Done

August 4, 2013

Matt Kopp and Sean Lindstrom continued the complete game streak of Shamrock pitchers as they powered through nine innings to secure 8-1 and 7-3 wins over the Saint Paul River Pirates.  The two wins completed the second playoff sweep for the Shamrocks, earning them a spot in their 8th consecutive Class A State Tournament.  The Shamrocks first round opponent will be the Tri-City Shark of the Skyline League at 7:00pm on Saturday, August 10th at Red Haddox Field in Bloomington.

Shamrocks Move On

August 1, 2013

Kris Edwards and Lonnie Robinson threw back-to-back complete game shutouts as the Saint Paul Shamrocks defeated Sport & Spine 7-0 and 1-0 respectively to advance to the final round of the Saint Paul Municipal League Playoffs against the top-seeded Saint Paul River Pirates.  The best of three series starts Friday @ 6:00pm at Midway Stadium in Saint Paul.

Thank God

July 3, 2013

In what appeared to be another game that could trickle away from the Shamrocks, Kris Edwards stopped the bleeding with a complete game win as Mark "Never a Doubt" Boland tracked down the final out in front of the left-center fence to secure the 3-2 win over Rosetown.  The Shamrocks will have a few days off to celebrate 'Merica, and then play 5 games in 7 days (a rarity for this club), starting Monday at Dunning against Air Freight.

Coming to America

June 9, 2013

Kris Edwards made his Shamrocks debut throwing five scoreless innings, as well as picking up three hits at the plate as the Shamrocks defeated the TC Saints 12-0 at Dunning Stadium Friday night.  In an effort to acclimate Edwards back into the American lifestyle after his baseball stint overseas, the Shamrocks celebrated through the domination of multiple White Castle Crave Cases in the Dunning parking lot.  The Rocks resume action on Wednesday as they battle Blue Package, and then travel to St. Francis on Friday night so that "Mayor in Waiting" Sean Lindstrom can re-ignite his campaign trail.

Rocks Play Baseball

May 29, 2013

The Saint Paul Shamrocks took advantage of the 2.147 hours of the day that didn't rain or snow to play their first baseball game of the season, defeating the Edina ESox 6-4.  Mike Moran led the way with 4 hits, equaling the team ouput from many of last year's games.  Zach Hayes picked up the save in his first amateur game despite several Shrine Circus juggling auditions throughout Dakota Field.  The Shamrocks will continue their attempt to dodge Mother Nature with a game against FanHQ Phantoms at Bethel University at 6:15pm on Friday.
