UPDATED!!! Club Tournament March 16 & 23
The Season for most teams ends on March 9. However there will be a SRSC-club tournament for U8, U10 and U12 divisions. The Girls divisions will play on March 16. The Boys divisions will play on March 23. While any U8, U10 and U12 team can participate in the MSA Southern District Tournament on April 20-21 in Gulfport, the winner of each division in the SRSC Tournament will have its district tournament fee paid by the Club (or for U8s the tournament fee for State Cup on April 13-14).
This is very important: NO TEAM WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIATE IN THE DISTRICT TOURNAMENT UNLESS ITS HEAD AND ASSISTANT COACHES HAVE COMPLETED A KIDSAFE FORM. At present we have six coaches (three U8, one U10 Boys and two U12 Girls) who have not completed this form or whose registration is shown as incomplete by the Miss. Soccer Assoc. The KidSafe instructions are at the link in menu to the left of your screen. You can also go to http://www.mississippisoccer.org/Left_Nav/Special_Programs/kidsafe.htm
For further information about KidSafe and registering with MSA, contact the Club Registrar, Michelle McMillan, at hrmickie@yahoo.com.
Check back here for brackets, tournament rules and game times. There will be no seeding of teams in the brackets. The order of play, matches and byes (if necessary) within the brackets will be determined by random drawing.

Online registration has been extended to August 31. However, you must pay online. No other live registration sessions will be held. If you are a new player, once you register, you must send your child's birth certificate to hoyaburrow@hotmail.com NO LATER THAN August 31.

Changes in State Tournament // Disaster Relief
As bad as the weather was earlier this week, North Mississippi was hit far worse. Because of the damage from those storms, the Mississippi Soccer Association has had to move the State Tournament (Kohl's America Cup) to Meridian. The dates (May 9-11) remain the same.
Also, the MSA is trying to raise funds for disaster relief. See the message below from MSA's Executive Director:
From Kay Bouler:
On Monday, April 28, 2014, several MSA soccer communities were hit by tornadoes and violent storms. In an effort to provide monetary assistance to these affected areas, MSA has set up a "team" fund raiser event. Our current goal is to raise $10,000 but we will take any level of donations. You will be able to track our progress on the soccer field shown here.
https://www.gotsport.com/asp/teams/fundraiser.asp?TeamID=784937
We also have a Mississippi Soccer Association Tornado Fund Relief account set up with Trustmark National Bank and donations may be made payable to "MYSA Tornado Relief Fund" and mailed to the MSA State Office @ 628 Lakeland East Dr., Suite D, Flowood, MS 39232.
Lastly, we will have donation boxes at each of our upcoming MSA events - Kohl's Cup, Presidents Cup, and MSA State Cup for those wishing to donate cash, gift cards, etc..
We are one big family here at Mississippi Soccer and we thank each of you in advance for your donations that will go to helping others in need.
Thank you for sharing
Annual General Membership Meeting and Registration
We will have our annual General Membership Meeting on July 20 at 2:00pm at the Soccer Complex. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in volunteering to support and promote youth soccer in Pascagoula, then please make every effort to attend. Aside from the ever-present need for coaches, positions available on our organization are: (a) Public Relations Director, (b) Assistant Registrar, and (c) Division Directors (e.g. U6, U8, U10, U12 and U14-U16). For more information, contact Club President, Scott Corlew (228-235-0588).
Registration will begin on August 1, 2014. While we may have one day in which we hold a live registration, our goal is to have registration (and payment) exclusively online.
As you may know, the City of Pascagoula requires players who do not reside in Pascagoula (or whose parents do not own real property in Pascagoula) to pay an additional fee at registration. This fee was first implimented last year. This year we are required by the City to obtain proof of residency for each family which registers to play as a resident of Pascagoula. This proof of residency in Pascagoula can take several forms, (a) deed or lease to a house/apartment, (b) utility bill with current address, or (c) real property tax receipt. SRSC is required to keep copies of these residency documents on file for the City's review.
Given these additional requirements, we have no alternative but take a zero-tolerance policy regarding registration. That means a player's registeration will not be complete unless ALL required documents have been furnished. If a player registers online and FOR ANY REASON fails to furnish a birth certificate (if needed) or proof of residency, then he/she will not be considered "registered." Consequently, he/she will not be allowed to practice or play in games, issued a uniform and will not receive a refund.
Registration Now Open!!!
Online registration is now open until August 31. To register and pay online click on the link "SRSC Registration 2014-2015" to the right of the screen, or go to the menu on the left, click "Forms" and you will see the registration link.
We will have live registration on Tuesday, August 19 (5pm - 7pm); Thursday, August 21 (5pm - 7pm) and Saturday, August 23 (8am - 12pm). These live sessions will all be at the Pascagoula Recreation Center, which is at the corner of Tucker Avenue and Pascagoula Street. If you plan to register at that time, you must bring with you (a) proof of residency in Pascagoula, and (b) a birth certificate if your child has not played with SRSC in the past two years. You can pay online via credit/debit card or Paypal, or with check at live registration. Under no circumstances will cash payments will be accepted.
For more information about registration requirements, see the posting below re Annual General Meeting and Registration. Remember, YOUR REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL (A) YOUR FEE HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL, AND (B) ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN FURNISHED TO SRSC. If you register online, send your required documentation to our registrar, Stephen Burrow, at hoyaburrow@hotmail.com
Registration Closed. Late Registration opens
Open Registration is now over. If you still want your child to play soccer, then you must first contact Club Registrar, Stephen Burrow (hoyaburrow@hotmail.com) and receive written confirmation to proceed with online registration. Your son/daughter will only be allowed to register late, if space in his/her age division is available. This late registration period will end at 5:00pm, Friday September 5.
IF YOU PROCEED TO REGISTER ONLINE WITHOUT WRITTEN CONFIRMATION FROM OUR CLUB REGISTRAR, THEN YOUR REGISTRATION MAY CANCELLED AND YOUR PAID FEE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
Late Registration Closed.
All Registration is now CLOSED. In the next two weeks, coaches will be selected. Players will then either be drafted (U10 and U12) or assigned to teams (all other divisions). We will then begin the process of ordering uniforms.
