2nd Round Playoffs

Both C-TEAM & A-TEAM Jr. Sabers will face Johnson City in their quest for the Superbowl.  ALL Round 2 Playoff Games will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016.  The games will be played on a neutral field, at the Chenango Forks High School Football Field.  C Game will start at 11:30am and the A Game will begin at 3:30pm.

There will be a meeting Tonight (9/21) at 5:45m over by the elementary school playground to discuss the homecoming floats for football and cheerleading.  All are welcome to attend!

Practices will still occur at normal times today (9/8), however, due to a high heat index, football players will only practice in helmets and shoulder pads today.  C-Team football players will only be in shorts, t shirts, and spikes. B-Team Cheer will not be practicing. Remember to stay hydrated!

Please remember that starting tonight, August 22, 2016, practices start at 5:30pm.  Below you will find the schedule for this coming week:

8/23:

Tackle Football Scrimmage @ Montrose: 6:00pm.  Please have players arrive, be dressed and ready to warm up at 5:30pm.

8/25: 

Flag Football: 5:30-7

Tackle Football: 5:30-7:30

All Cheerleading: Practice Starts at 5:30

In case you missed the parents meeting, here is an over view of what you missed:

-Both the Tackle and Flag Football schedules are now finalized and posted.  If you did not receive a copy of either schedule, you can find it on Facebook or on this website.  Please go to the Calendar tab or the Schedules tab to view them.  Please have your child(re) dressed and ready to warm up before every game ONE HOUR prior to the start of your game.  For our home games, teams will meet on the grass, under the big trees behind the dumpsters, to the left of the concession stands.  From there, coaches will take them down to the end zone to warm up at the appropriate time.  If there is any questions about the schedule or times, please contact your child's coach.

-Lottery Ticket Fundraising.  You should have received these when you signed your child(ren) up.  Please note how this fundraiser works: When you signed up, you paid $25 for a sign up fee and $25 to participate in the fundraiser, for a grand total of $50.  Each ticket you were given to sell was worth $5.  If you sold all 5 of your tickets, you would have had 5 ticket stubs and $25.  The ticket stubs are to be returned to our fundraising coordinator, Amy Decker, and the $25 is yours to keep.  (Remember- you already paid for them when you signed up, so the money is now yours to keep.  If you did not sell your tickets, you do not have to turn in your ticket stubs.  Please have all sold ticket stubs returned to Mrs. Decker by our first game on 8/28.   (Please note this example is for one child to participate in the program.  If you have two or more children participating, your totals will be different.)  

-NFL Game Tickets Fundraising:  Each child is being asked to sell a minimum of 5 tickets.  Each ticket is one chance to win 2 Tickets to an NFL Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants game.  If you haven't received your tickets, please contact Amy Decker.  All tickets AND money should be turned in by the end of October.  If you have any questions, please see any board member.

-Our organization will be looking for the following volunteers to EVERY home game.  This year we have 4 home games.  We will be looking for 3 people PER GAME to run the chains, 1 person PER GAME to operate the clock, 6 people PER GAME to operate the food booth.  All of these positions are critical in game day operations.  Please see any board member to sign up or offer your time to volunteer for these positions.  

-Cheerleaders:  Parents will be responsible for providing a royal blue body suit, bloomers, socks and shoes for all cheerleaders this year.   Cheerleading shoes can be found at Payless.  ( Sizzle Abeille, 154755 D10.  If you cannot find your size or style in any Payless Shoe Store, you can order them online and have them shipped to your closest store at no cost.)  This year we will be competing in 3 competitions.  If your daughter will not be participating in competition, they DO NOT need the previously mentioned shoes.  Also, for non-competition cheerleaders, practice will be minimal once games start.  If your child will be participating in competition, we ask they they attend all practices.  If they miss more than 3 practices, they will NOT be allowed to compete.  If you have any questions, please contact a coach or our Cheer Coordinator, Dawn Rooney.

Monthly Meeting TONIGHT, (Monday August 15th, 2016) 8pm after practice.  Anyone wishing to attend is welcome!

Flag practice starts Monday night 6pm -7:30 pm any one still wishing to play can come to practice and still sign up ages 4-6 boys or girls.

Flag Cheer practice starts Monday as well.  Please meet at the Elementary School. 

Tackle football and cheer practice this week:  Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday 6-8 pm (Thursday is meet your teacher night.)

Next Monday (8/22) tackle scrimmage vs Windsor @ Windsor 6pm.  Please arrive at 5:30 dressed and ready to scrimmage.  Flag football and all cheer practices will be held as regularly scheduled (home).
