The Troup Cheerleaders have been selected as the Georgia Cheerleading Team of the Year! The award is given by the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches' Association. After advancing to the top five finalists in the state, the team was named after review of their hundreds of hours of community and school service, team GPA of 3.320, and competition skills. Way to go TIGERS!
MeLinne finished tenth in the nation for the National Cheerleader of the Year Scholarship Competition. Congratulations!
The THS Cheerleaders are back from camp and ready for an amazing season! Gold Team attended camp at UGA and received Superior ribbons for their performance. Blue team attended camp at Mt. Cheaha where they completed teambuilding activities including rock climbing and rapelling. Way to go THS cheerleaders!
Congratulations THS for 3rd place at the CSU competition! Way to go Tigers!
Congratulations Long Cane on your 1st Place Victory at Starr's Mill! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see some of you cheering at THS next year!

Community Projects Update

The THS cheerleaders donated over 200 coloring books and crayon sets to be given to children battling cancer in hospitals across the state.  The team found out about the project through the internet, where the effort is being headed by a nine year old boy.  We applaud his efforts to make a difference in the lives of others and are excited that our 200 items sent him over his goal of 1000 items.  Way to go!

Competition Team Attends Camp at Mt. Cheaha!

The 2013-2014 Co-Ed Competition Team returned from another successful team-building camp at Mt. Cheaha.  Each member of the team climbed and rapelled from one of the highest points in Alabama, facing their fears and supporting their team mates.  We are super-excited about their routine and their season.  GO TIGERS!

 

 

Troup High Cheer Clinic 2014

The 2014 Cheer Camp was another huge success!  Thank you to all who attended and Mable Smith Sharp for sponsoring our t-shirts for the day!  We look forward to seeing everyone at pre-game on September 12th against Harris County.  GO TIGERS!

 

 

Congratulations to the Spirit Team for their performance at Ga Tech.  The team performed with over 400 other cheerleaders from across the Southeast at halftime.  Way to go TIGERS!

Congratulations to the team for their 2nd place finish at the Starr's Mill Competition!  "CHEERS" to you!

 

Congratulations to the Competition team for their amazing performance and finish at State Finals!  The team finished 9th in the state from all Co-Ed teams division A-AAAAAA!  Way to go TIGERS!
