The Pflugerville Shockers Organization is a non-profit 501(c)(3) youth services program sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Association (AAU). The Pflugerville Shockers  provides a competitive youth club Volleyball organization ... enabling our young adults to participate in a sport they enjoy.

Pflugerville Shockers Volleyball was created to compete in quality local and travel tournaments. Our goal is to give the young athletes of Pflugerville, Round Rock, Hutto and surrounding areas an opportunity to enjoy the game they love in a healthy and safe environment. We believe in a FUNDAMENTALS FIRST approach that increases the individual skills of the players within a team environment. We promote competitiveness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and the opportunity to succeed in the Shockers program.

Parents/Players must understand that equal playing time in games is not a goal of this organization. It is our belief that playing time is earned during practice. Those players that work hard and show that they have the ability to perform when in a game will get playing time. Players need to take advantage of this opportunity by working hard to improve their skills in practice. With each practice and each game they have the opportunity to improve their skills.

On average one or two practices will be scheduled per week depending on the school districts availability.  Players are expected to attend all practices. If a player has a legitimate reason for missing practice she must let their coach know prior to that practice. It is difficult to run a quality practice with less than 10 players thus players must make every effort to attend all practices.

  The club fee does not cover player travel, accommodations or spectator gate fees at tournaments.

The Pflugerville Shockers organization operates largely on donations and corporate and individual sponsorships. The mission of the program is to give as many athletes in Central Texas the opportunity to play on a competitive level. As with any organization, the Pflugerville Shockers do periodic fundraising activites to help keep the individual cost for all players to a minimum. Parents and players are asked to assist in this endeavor by participating in the fundraisers where available.
